Lætitia & Guy (breeder of "competition pigeons" who can show you around their impressive aviaries) welcome you to a charming traditional farmhouse from 1900, carefully restored (built with stones from the sumptuous neighboring castle of Digoine, some of which remain encrusted with unusual fossils on the garden side), nestled in the peace and quiet of a small, scattered rural hamlet adjoining the Canal du Centre, in the heart of the unspoiled Charolais countryside (protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich fauna and flora). Absolute tranquility, in the heart of the sublime local bocage (with the famous Charolais cows and/or horses as privileged neighbors depending on the season), very close to beautiful wild forests, in the hollow of a magnificent landscaped setting. Spacious, very comfortable gîte. Warm country charm with contemporary accents enhanced by the soul of the original building (fireplace mantel, authentic sink, stone walls, door and window lintels, French beams and ceilings, roof framing, etc.). Cozy and cozy atmosphere. Enormous charm and character. Large sheltered terrace opening onto a 300m² enclosed plot (electric gate) including a large landscaped courtyard, a veritable "natural pétanque court," the owners' vegetable garden (not visited during your stay / seasonal vegetable picking possible), and a fenced pasture home to their peaceful "Ouessan dwarf sheep."
