This former winery for 6 persons is part of a typical farmhouse completely restored. Located in a quiet area 5 minutes walk from the center (shops and market) and 10 from the harbor and beaches, you can leave your car in the parking lot and do everything on foot or by bike. The garden has a gravelled courtyard in front and a lawn behind after the wooden deck. Large living room very bright 45m2 with living room, dining room, office area, fireplace and kitchen, separate rooms with authentic boat door.
Side room (former sheepfold): 2 twin beds, bathroom next door, and 1 double with bathroom and shower ensuite Italian.
Equipment: fully equipped kitchen, 4 gas burners, oven, small appliances. TV and wifi. Cot and high chain if necessary. Teak table and chairs, parasol, deckchairs, BBQ.
Small shed with washing machine, and other discount for bikes, windsurfing ...
Linen provided (sheets, towels, tea towels) except for the cot and restoration cleaning between rentals included.
In the summer, due to the very difficult traffic conditions on the island, especially on Saturdays, rentals begin and end on SUNDAY.

Wonderful property and location

Just returned from a wonderful week in this property, the whole process from booking to departure was flawless, great communication from Florence and the property manager Aurelia. The only small negative for us was assuming from the property listing that 2 bathrooms meant 2 toilets; luckily the 1 toilet was separate from the bathrooms so not a deal breaker but for 6 people we would have preferred another. The island has lots to see and do, the beaches are amazing. Being able to walk to the centre of St Denis, the port and beaches within 10 minutes was great. The daily market, boulangerie and Utile supermarket met all our food requirements, not to mention local restaurants. The cost of bike hire was extremely high, compared to a previous experience on Ile de Re, but it was no problem to take the cars on trips around the island and all parking was free. We would recommend Le Chai to anyone looking to visit Ile d’Oleron, you will not be disappointed.

Ein wunderschönes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus in dem wir die zwei Wochen sehr genossen haben. Wir sind herzlich mit Pineau und köstlicher selbstgemachter Marmelade empfangen worden. Trotz der ruhigen Lage ist man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad am Hafen mit netten Restaurants oder im Ort wo täglich ein Markt statt findet. Das Haus ist mit allem bestens ausgestattet und auch das Kochen macht Freude, da auch der Küchenbereich bestens ausgestattet ist. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit noch einmal bei Florence buchen! Franco & Heike

Ganz wunderbar!

Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr viel Erholung gebracht! Der Kontakt mit der Agentur und den Inhabern war verlässlich und freundlich. Zum Empfang erhielten wir köstliche selbstgemachte Marmelade und gekühlten Pinot von der Insel. Das Haus ist wunderbar: geschmackvolle Einrichtung, bequeme Betten, ein herrlicher Garten und eine sehr ruhige Lage. Dennoch nur ein paar Meter zum Bäcker und zum täglichen Markt inkl. Fischhändler. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt rundum genossen und kommen gern wieder.

Maison élégante et fonctionnelle

Très agréable maison pour une semaine en famille : design et fonctionnelle, très bien équipée, nous avons adoré passer la semaine au « Chai » aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’en extérieur. Si je devais donner un léger bémol, ça serait pour les oreillers (trop fermes et épais à notre goût). Tout le reste était parfait ! Accueil et départ clair et sympathique. Proche des commerces de St denis. Ça donne envie de revenir !

Très bon séjour sur l'île !

Nous avons séjourné sur l'île la deuxième quinzaine d'avril. Nous avons été accueilli par Aurélia, très bon accueil. Les propriétaires avaient prévu un panier dans lequel il y avait un petit mot personnalisé, du pineau et des confitures. Merci encore pour cette attention qui se fait de plus en plus rare. Nous avons apprécié. La maison est très agréable et fonctionnelle. Elle est idéalement située, les commerces (boulangerie, marché tous les matins, supérette, magasins de déco...) et l'Océan sont tout proches, pas besoin de prendre la voiture. Vous pourrrez vous rendre au port en à peine 10 min à pied et au phare de Chassiron par un sentier côtier qui se situe à 5 min de la maison. Nous vous conseillons d'assister au coucher du soleil au phare, trop beau ! Nous avons également decouvert de très bons restaurants dans le centre du village," le jour du poisson", restaurant gastronomique, et une crêperie toujours dans le centre, rue du port. Et comme conseillé par les propriétaires nous avons goûté au mojito à la "buvette" sur la plage de la boirie ! Au moment de notre réservation, les propriétaires nous avaient fait parvenir le lien de leur site sur lequel nous pouvions trouver toutes les informations nécessaires pour passer un bon séjour, un vrai petit guide touristique très bien fait. Depuis que nous louons, c'est la première fois que l'on nous fait parvenir une documentation aussi riche. Nous recommendons vivement cette location. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Très belle maison

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable et reposant. La maison est joliment décorée, fonctionnelle, agréable. Nous avons vraiment profité de ses extérieurs mais aussi de la grande pièce à vivre. Alles war perfekt

Das Haus und das Grundstück sind sehr schön und gepflegt. Es ist an alles gedacht. Ein Schuppen für Fahrräder und Fahrradständer gibt es ebenfalls. Wir waren zwei Familien mit Kindern und haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin und Verwalterin verlief freundlich. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus

Das Haus ist super schön, die Lage zum Zentrum,Hafen und Strand optimal. Netter Empfang und Kontakt. Die Küche war bestens ausgestattet so dass man die schönsten Gerichte zubereiten konnte . Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch der Tipp mit der segelschule (YCO) war sehr gut. Unsere Kinder hatte dort viel Spaß. Eva Kirst und Familie

Un séjour de très bonne qualité

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable ; la maison est magnifique, la décoration soignée, une rénovation vraiment aboutie et de bon goût. L'endroit est très calme et bien placé ; à deux pas du centre de Saint Denis et pas très loin de la plage à vélo. Côté équipement, rien ne manque. Tout était vraiment parfait ! Merci encore pour le panier d'accueil et la qualité du service. C'est avec plaisir que nous conseillons cet endroit et espérons un jour y revenir pour faire découvrir le Chais à nos proches.

Sehr schönes, perfekt eingerichtetes Ferienhaus

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig am Rande des netten kleinen Urlaubsortes St. Denis, der ausreichend gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants bietet. Alles ist zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad leicht erreichbar (Ort und Strand). Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Vor allem die Aussstattung der Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Für Liebhaber eines ruhigen Ferienhausurlaubs genau das richtige Haus!

Accueil parfait (petit mot adressé par les propriétaires et produits du terroir que nous avons bien appréciés) Gîte très confortable, fonctionnel, très bien situé, très bien entretenu Terrasses superbement exposées qui permettent de profiter du soleil à tous moments Quiétude assurée par indépendance totale Bref ! Superbe maison

Maison très agréable à vivre, joliment décorée, avec la terrasse aussi ensoleillée que sur la photo. Très bien située, à 2 pas des commerces de Saint-Denis, et proche des pistes cyclables. Nous avons été accueillis très gentiment par les propriétaires (merci pour le pineau et les délicieuses confitures maison). Bref, un séjour reposant et vivifiant.

unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Wir haben schon einige Häuser auf der Ile d'Oléron gemietet, dieses Haus ist bislang mit Abstand das Schönste gewesen. Das Haus ist ein Traum. Es bietet alles, was für einen Urlaub notwendig ist. Die Ausstattung ist komfortabel. Der angekündigte Service wurde komplett erfüllt. Die Betten sind gut, die Küchenausstattung hervorragend. Darüber hinaus ist das Haus nicht nur schön, sondern auch besonders liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns hier wie zu hause. Ein schöner Garten, der bis zum Abend sonnig ist, viel Platz im Haus und eine besonders ruhige Lage laden zum Wohlfühlen ein. In wenigen Minuten ist man im Zentrum von Saint Denis, unserem Lieblingsort auf der Ile d'Oléron. Die Vermieter (Florenz und Atanase) sind ausgesprochen nett und freundlich. Einen sechsten Stern würden wir gerne für ihre Gastfreundlichkeit vergeben. Dieses Haus ist definitiv eine hervorragende Empfehlung!

très belle location

nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette maison entièrement refaite avec beaucoup de goût. les équipements sont très complets et de qualité l'emplacement est idéal pour le marché, le port et les plages. Très bon accueil juste une suggestion: il faudrait peut-être juste renforcer la séparation avec le gite de 10 personnes contigu car la palissade peu isolante du bruit et de la vue des voisins forcément un peu bruyants à 10 n'est pas des plus efficaces (pourquoi ne pas prolonger la partie gauche plus isolante ?) Nous relouerons avec beaucoup de plaisir ....!! ,

Nous avons lu les commentaires précédents avant de réserver et c'est ce qui nous a aussi décidé ! Arrivés sur place aucune déception . Plus le temps passait plus on découvrait et plus on appréciait ;-) Cette maison à comblé toutes nos attentes ... Tout y était ...et, ce qui ne gâche rien ...tout dans un excellent état ! Tout y est pensé afin qu'on se sente chez soi dès notre arrivée . Que demander de plus ? La rencontre avec F. Et A. Nous avons passé en famille un excellent séjour dans le chai effectivement entièrement rénové à Saint Denis . les propriétaires nous ont accueilli de façon charmante et nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre logement très bien équipé très propre et très fonctionnel . Nous le recommandons vivement .
