The location of the house is ideal for excursions into the beautiful Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park with its forests, mountains and rushing rivers. The town of Aubusson, known primarily for its long history as a producer of fine tapestries and carpets, is also worth a visit. The town's main attraction is the tapestry museum, which displays a collection of tapestries from the last 400 years. The centre of the old town is the 17th century stone bridge over the Creuse.
