Beautiful all-wood cabin (pallet boards), built by ourselves, under one of the three arches of our farm's hay barn. It's located above the sheep barn (9 ewes). The cabin is heated with a wood stove (we provide the wood needed for your stay). There's a gas stove with an oven. There's a lovely, rather spacious walk-in shower and a beautiful view of the valley in both summer and winter. The place is in the middle of the forest. We have our own drinking water source. The place runs on solar energy and we produce our own firewood. No street lighting - expect to see the stars. At the bottom of the property there's a river that can be reached on foot. We have a self-sufficient farm with some chickens, ducks and sheep. We grow our own vegetables in a garden that we'll be happy to show you if you wish. Here you can go hiking, mountain biking, or road cycling. Just 20 minutes away are the swimming pool and hot springs of Lacaune-les-Bains. In the village there's a bar with an extensive beer menu (Belgian), a community grocery store, a restaurant, a folk art museum and an unusual construction. Welcome to the Mavericks' cabin - those wild horses that stand apart from the herd but don't break away from the movement.
