A True Gem in Sainte-Maxime I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Le Chardon Bleu this August, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like family by the wonderful husband and wife who run the hotel. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made my stay unforgettable. The owners are truly the heart of this property. They went above and beyond—personally helping me with restaurant reservations, beach club suggestions, local tips, and even little touches like recommending the best walking routes and hidden gems around Sainte-Maxime. You can feel their love for what they do in every detail of the experience. The hotel itself is charming, spotless, and perfectly located. Just a short walk to the beach, the marina, and all the shops and restaurants—yet tucked away enough to offer a peaceful retreat. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable, and everything is maintained with great care. You can tell the owners take immense pride in the property. It’s rare to come across such a welcoming, sincere, and helpful pair—they embody true hospitality. Their attentiveness never felt forced or scripted; it was heartfelt. Whether it was making last-minute changes, checking in to ensure I had what I needed, or simply sharing a kind word, they made the experience personal and memorable.Bravo and thank you to the lovely couple behind this gem. The property is well very well kept. The staff is very courteous. The location is fantastic. Right in the middle of Saint Maxime town center surrounded by restaurantes and shops and right in front of the pier from where you can take the boat to St Tropez.

This hotel is absolutely charming—small, boutique-style, exceptionally clean, and it smells wonderful. The shower is fantastic, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The service has been excellent as well. The only downside is that Google Maps and Waze don’t direct you to the exact entrance; they lead you to a street behind the hotel. Just head to the front of that street—you’ll see a flag marking the hotel entrance—and pull into the small parking area there.
