We are also close enough to the Jacks Fork River-also part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways-to easily take a day floating there. There are many springs in the area to visit too-Meramac Springs, Alley Springs, Welch Spring is close and the remains of a beautiful small stone hospital at the base of the spring is only a short hike from the parking lot there. If you're looking for things to do with the kids-Bo's Hollow is a short distance away and is a great place for kids to experience what life was like in the " olden days"-shuck corn, pump water from a well, ride in antique cars-even ride in a rumble seat!
