We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Salzburg. The location is great, just a short walk to the Old town. Our room was incredible! Large, clean and with a charm that you don’t find often. The whole place felt warm and cost in fact. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite too, we can’t thank them enough for all that they did for us.

Wondering about high rating.!!!! No Staff after 8 pm till 7-8 am. All doors locked even to the deck. No service staff. Only receptionist till 8 pm. She was very nice ( Caroline). Room clean but not pleasant and comfortable to spend time in. at least the room I am staying at. Price high for what it offers.

The private garden patio was a welcome and lovely spot to read a book, have a small picnic and listen to the many bird songs. Our room was very roomy and kept super clean. The air conditioning was just being inspected as we checked out, and even with the fan provided, the room was a bit stuffy. Not too far to the old town and a quiet district. Don’t have the breakfast - vegan only, just an fyi.

Enjoyed our stay a lot. Host was very welcoming. Room nice, quiet. Breakfast limited but adequate. The hotel is not in the centre of Salzburg, however the walk back and forth is pleasant and safe approx 20-25 min.

The room was excellently presented with very good facilities. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature was good (holiday in mid-May). The staff were helpful, and provided information on dining places nearby along with some tourist information. Only slight issue was that extra pillows would have been of use.

Great stay

The hotel owners were gracious and very helpful with tips for the city. Because we were taking the train, I found the location convenient and quiet. The bed was perfect and the room was well appointed. I would highly recommend the Berglandhotel!

Good stay in Salzburg.

Very well situated hotel, not far from Salzburg New Town and gardens, then just across the river to The Old Town. Also not far from the train station. We enjoyed the mix of new and old within the hotel. Aircon being finished soon, so should make for a better summer hotel. A little confused why there is a kettle in the room, as there was no stock of coffee or milk to make anything with? Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is in a nice quiet area except for when the bin lorry is emptying bins. The hotel is currently having air conditioning fitted which is needed as the rooms are very hot when the weather is warm. There are three very good restaurants at the end of the street which is very convenient. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and walkable into the city centre.

This is my first time traveling solo in Europe so I was stressed somehow but the whole staff really made my first experience unforgettable. They were super nice and supportive they helped me with all the info i need about restaurant recommendations, sights and how to walk there I forgot my pass card in the room and the owner was really cool about it The room is always clean and the bed was great and soft There is daily tea bags and kettle in the room I couldn't ask for more I really loved Salzburg even more because of them Highly recommended

This was one of our favorite hotels to stay at during our 14 day Europe trip. The staff were so incredibly nice, the artwork was amazing, the bed was SO comfortable and they had the softest robes! We didn't park or eat, so I can't speak to the parking or restaurant, but we absolutely loved the rooms and the whole vibe of the place. Loved the little cooler to grab drinks too! For sure book this hotel, you won't be disappointed!

Great Stay! Highly Recommend.

We spent 4 nights at Bergland Hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. It was clean, aesthetic, cozy, and friendly. It's a great value for the money. The owners provide exceptional service, especially Inga. Be sure to get her list of restaurant recommendations-- all places where the locals eat and get the best food. Also, you can pick up the Salzburg card at the front desk; it's a very good value and gets you on to the local buses. Bergland Hotel is located just outside the old town, a 10-minute walk. Once we got the hang of it, it was easy to get there. In short, Bergland Hotel was probably the best hotel pick overall for our European adventure.
