Beautiful environment. It is close to the Zoo and the place La Jolla. We like the pond. My daughter enjoyed feeding the ducks, birds and the fishs and turtle. We had a lot of fun there.

Bungalow’s are in need of updating. They look and smell a little tired. Staff was super friendly. The gift shop has a few groceries and some alcoholic drinks. Coffee shop has a nice little breakfast. The Bar & Grill has a great view but food is mediocre at best. Ice for a drink, but that’s it. Did not try the other restaurant. The grounds are Lucious and have a “survivor” type feel with tiki torches everywhere. Fire pits where you can buy wood and have smores. Lots of things to do just at the resort. Would stay here again.

Love this resort with all the wildlife and pools and friendly staff. We did have a ton of ants in room 602 when we moved rooms. They were all over the bathroom. Other than that everything was wonderful.

This hotel is centrally located to all that the San Diego area has to offer. We had rented a car so we could get to the city, LaJolla and other points quickly. Our kids enjoyed feeding the ducks and turtles around the lagoon and it was nice to be able to take a walk along the water in the morning and evening. Rooms were clean and spacious, but had a musty smell. I would request a room closer to the lobby and restaurant side of the resort to be farther from main road traffic noise and to feel more like you’re at the resort. Pictures make it look a little more luxurious than it is. Also not a private “resort” as the grounds and beach are open to the public. This wasn’t an issue for us, but we weren’t aware of that. Overall a good stay and great location.

Overall, I would rate this as an excellent property. The staff is friendly. The location is convenient to all major attractions. My daughters enjoyed feeding ducks, turtle and fish within the resort as well as playing golf and other amenities provided by the resort. I would definitely recommend this for a fun filled family stay. what could be better is the size of the room. For a family of four the room definitely feels a little cramped.
