I took a risk booking a place that didn't show a history of reviews. The Albaluz is a shiny, beautiful, new development on the water with walking distance to all kind of great restaurants, coffee shops and a wonderful grocery store. When you spend time at the resort's lovely pool or beach front area, they have an attentive staff, bar and restaurant on the premises that offers very good food and drink - prices are quite reasonable. Our room, a studio, was beautiful with comfortable king bed a large walk in rain shower, tub, large TV and a balcony area with a view of the water. There is some construction noise on the back side of the building, but they observe quiet hours and you wont notice it while out by the pool. The pool, when not busy serves as a great lap pool - and the far edge allows you to swim up to the beach and look out to the sea. There is a receptionist always there to great you, should you have any questions. Entering and exiting parts of the building and units is done by code and is quite easy. I would definitely return for the upscale feel, comfort, amenities, staff that make you feel welcome and location. There are bigger, grander resorts down the strip, but the Albaluz was a great fit for me - it had a Zen type vibe to it, perfect for rest and relaxation.
