I booked two nights at this place but left after just one night and checked out early the next morning because of how terrible this hotel is. This place is simply unfit for humans or travelers. The management claims this is a hotel and that it has a rating — honestly, I have no idea who granted this place any classification in the first place. As a frequent international traveler who has visited nearly 90 countries (some of them more than 15 times), this is the first time in my life I have seen towels and bed sheets stained yellow from old, visible marks. It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. The bathroom can barely be called a bathroom. It is impossible to shower or even use the toilet properly — the space is so small you can hardly wash your face. I give this place a 1 out of 5, and I truly wish I could give a score lower than zero — like negative temperatures — because this hotel is even worse than that.

You get what you pay for and this property was pretty underwhelming. The staff were the best part of the hotel, as they were accomodating and kind even when there was a language barrier. However, the room was very dated and linens / towels rather old and used. We had only one working plug (none of the USBs worked) and the bathroom was quite musty. The following day we lost power right after breakfast (which was good, I liked that it included breakfast) so it was unfortunate as we couldn't charge our devices. Granted, this wasn't the fault of the hotel. I think this is an acceptable place for a one night stay in transit to somewhere else (which is why we chose it). It's not too expensive and the location is close to the Central Market and Bus Station. But manage expectations as the rooms are old and you may not be that comfortable.

The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Small but comfortable and great for the price. Very close to the Terminal Pulmitan Cañas bus station which was very convenient for me. Breakfast was great and it was nice to have the restaurant there for lunch. Easy Uber pick-up.

This hotel is one of the nicer hotels here in downtown San Jose. The staff was outstanding. The room was great. I do recommend them. The only drawback I could see was that they didn’t have but one outlet to charge my phone with, and it was in the bathroom that was the only complaint I might’ve had other than that was perfect.

Friendly staff. A big shout out to Andres who has a wonderful smile. He helped us with directions and gave us pamplets of places to see. Also adviced on wearing our backpack in the front and being careful with our cell phones. The room could use a more thorough cleaning. Found a sock under the bed. My stay was otherwise comfortable.

The room is the tiniest thing. Can’t open the door without hitting the bed and you can only take 2 steps in the bathroom. My buddy paid barely anymore and got a full kitchenette and separate bedroom at another place close by.
