This was my initial experience at this property, as I typically frequent either the Hotel San Juan or the Caribe Hilton. Upon my arrival, I discovered that my room was not ready, and the cookies provided were contaminated with ants. I promptly reported this issue to the front desk, yet it took more than 15 hours for the room to be properly cleaned. The door didn't open due to expired batteries, so I had to wait for engineer to support. On a more positive note, I found the concierge to be exemplary, and I appreciated the cigar room and the quality of the food offered. However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the staff, who did not create a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, I noticed that chemicals were left in my room after I communicated with the General Manager, who assured me that the Director would contact me; unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. I am quite disappointed with my experience. Although I had intended to return in September, I have since decided to stay at the Hotel San Juan..

Pros: Me and my kids felt safe. Our room was spacious. The pool hours go until 12a. The staff were all really friendly. We stayed there 6 days and we met our butler on one day and she was was helpful with information. Cons: Beach supplies end at 5p (too early in my opinion). Room cleaning occurs at inconsistent times. We could leave at 8a, return by 4p, and the room would not be clean. One day they wanted to clean the room at 9a and another they didn't clean until the evening. We needed them to turn the sofa to a bed, I called, waited an half an hour and had to call again. Fees! Never have I paid over a $100 a day in fees alone per day. I got a spa treatment (way overrated as well) and on top of it being way too expensive, additional fees were added onto the treatment. Why not give a discount to those who are staying in the hotel and already paying over a $100 in fees per day already?!? The spa treatment was not worth the price I paid. It is not hard to find street parking. The first day I used their parking, waiting a long time to get my car (valet). After that, I always parked on the street and had no issues. Next time I go to PR, I would not stay in this hotel because the price and fees are not worth it. While everyone was nice and friendly, I feel there were hidden fees in the spa and paying over $100 in daily hotel fees and our room not getting cleaned on some days was frustrating. Not a great value for the price I paid.

I am very picky with obsessive OCD and this hotel checked all the boxes. Staff was the best. Room was super clean and nice. 10 mins from Old San Juan and Isla Verde. Condado is beautiful.

My stay at the Condado Vanderbilt exceeded my expectations. As it was my first time visiting the island, I was initially a bit skeptical—but I was quickly impressed. The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. I also appreciated the hotel’s convenient location, which offered easy access to Old San Juan and other parts of the island. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Everything was top notch! Especially the pool staff was incredible. Manuel was the king of the pool staff. Food at Ola Restaurant was fabulous. Only negative thing that the room was partially ocean view, which must have been stated clearly.
