The hotel was not bad but not the best. I guess for the price it was OK. The standard rooms are really small and could use an update on the rug, squeaky bathroom doors, loose shower nobs. Not really a family oriented place, its mostly suited for college kids. The hotel has a party vibe with noisey hallways at night. To be fair, it was only a quick stay in San Juan and I wasn't trying to break the bank, this was the cheapest cost for the value. However, not a family vibe, near by restaurants are up there in price and not as authentic, mostly aimed at the turist party crowd.

Great little hotel.

Staff was so helpful and friendly. They really made the stay enjoyable. Great pool, everything was clean. Location was near lots of restaurants.

The Hotel Villa del Sol was a wonderful place to stay. The style of the hotel was quaint and embraced the culture of Puerto Rico. The propery and rooms were super clean. The staff was helpful and always available, 24/7. Our stay in San Juan was Paraiso!

The staff was very friendly and the pool was nice and clean and the staff were very courteous and cleaned our room every day without even leaving the cleaning tag outside the door.

The property could use some updates, especially in their room key system. I loved the local feel of the property and the layout. The staff were quite helpful and friendly. We enjoyed that they had the coffee and snacks, including microwaveable items and ice cream, at reasonable prices.

The best thing it had going for it was the parking was very convenient. Originally was given a room with two small beds when we asked for a single king bed. Told me they didn't have that room. After I got my bags in the room I went back down and told them again that this was an issue and they gave me a king bed. Then I had to go move all my stuff. Not sure why they didnt do that the first time. It was pretty unkept. Mirror were rusted. Ceiling was full of damage and crumbly. Doors were cheap and chiped. Carpet was stained. I wouldnt stay again. It was noisy, but I assumed that going into it. We chose the location because it was close to the airport for our departure so the noise of the planes was to be expected.

We really enjoyed our stay in Villa del Sol and plan to return. Staff was very friendly, the space opened, the pool a plus! Which there was a breakfast included, and the shower can be better. One thing we didn't like was the carpeted room. 5min from the Airport, walk distance to the most beautiful part of Isla Verde, and car rental straight from the hotel!
