The room was good but there was not any kind of a view. The biggest complaint was that it was too cold and you can't adjust the temperature in the room. I tried calling the front desk several times. No answer. Went out and found the clerk to adjust the temperature. The terrace view restaurant has minimal breakfast items and no lunch or dinner service.

The property is lovely, staff is kind, our room was spacious and very clean. Level of privacy is minimal, you can hear others within the property. The television would not connect to their WIFI, we asked the front desk evening staff and they gave us the same WiFi information, so nothing they could do. We chose it because we like to watch television while in the room.

The Staff were wonderful. The sun deck and pool were wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfasts. There is no hot water so showers were very uncomfortable. They won't leave the control for the A/C with you and in #224 it was inconsistent, sometimes too cold / then to warm, but mostly cold. We had staff adjust it twice but that didn't help. We both left there very tired after three nights of poor sleep. So much potential for this quaint small hotel but they fall short.

First room (suite) with windowless bedroom and no view at all from the living room. Changed after paying 100 USD for a better view. The in house room change was handled very poorly. Check out at 12:00, moved luggage to luggage storage, check in at 15:00... A bit of good will and organization would have handled that better! The new room had a very nice view but hardly would qualify for a suite. It was a single room with integrated bathroom section, a table, two chairs and a comfortable seat. Not a problem as I am a single traveler. The big problem: You do not get a control unit for the AC. They request You to call reception to adjust the AC. The front desk staff comes then to Your door with the only AC remote control of the hotel as they claimed?! If they do not answer the phone You have to walk down to reception from the 3rd floor (happened to me once)... Just to mention: I am a repeat guest in that property since 2013 as I live close in the British Virgin Islands.

Location is absolutely great if you’re planing on staying in Old San Juan. Very walkable to everything there is to see there. Hotel amenities were okay. Wish the room had a full body mirror. Glad the room had AC as it is very hot outside right now.

Great location right in the heart of old San Juan. The roof top pool was refreshing but very small. You can hear everything in the rooms next to you. One night people were very loud and I texted the front desk and got no reply. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Generally pleased overall, but could do with some improvements. We had a suite with a sofa in the first room. However there was no TV where you would like to sit. The TV is in the bedroom only. I also hate that the toilet and shower have glass doors straight of the bedroom, so it can all be seen from the bedroom and even the sitting room. You can hear everyone's toilets flushing and people talking in other rooms. There was no control for the A/C, so it was like a freezer the first day, so had to get the receptionist to change the settings. The second day the A/C had been completely turned off, so it was too warm the following night. Breakfast was okay, but you have to take whatever you are given, absolutely no choice. They didn't have any normal tea, or milk for coffee. Luckily I liked omelette and dry bread. You also cannot get down the narrow street in a wide vehicle, and it's cobble stoned. So it's tricky if you have a lot of luggage. It's also at nearly the top of a fairly steep hill. Taxis are expensive, but Uber is very reasonable and quick. I would stay again if was ever likely that I would return to Puerto Rico, as I found the staff very nice and friendly and it wasn't over priced.
