The pool is awesome with plenty of lounge chairs and access to one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen with just pure sand versus rocks and garbage mixed in. It is an expensive place to stay, no doubt about it. You can save money elsewhere, but it was great. (Drinks at the pool run $15 for just a regular sized drink)

This property is ok for the price point. It’s not a 5 star by any means, but for $450 per night (which is roughly what we paid) it was decent. Easy uber to Old San Juan and the airport. The beach is just ok. Having a Ruth Chris on sight was great. The food there was delicious. The area is safe for two or more females to walk. It’s not a luxurious area at all, but if you want convenience to Old San Juan and the airport, it’s a good choice. If you want a tropical beach vibe, choose another area on the island. We did prefer this hotel over the Fairmont next door. If I did it over again, I’d stay here for two nights to explore old San Juan and then the rest of the time else where in Puerto Rico.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Sonesta. We were looking for a few days of rest and relaxation and we definitely got it. The pool is very well maintained, the beach is lovely, there are plenty of chairs and towels available, and having the bar at the pool is perfect. Dining: The breakfast was great, we only did the buffet one morning, a la cart the rest of the time which we much preferred. Aside from our first morning when we weren't able to sit outside for breakfast, everything about our experience was great. One night we ate at the bar in the lobby which was fine, nothing exceptional. We had an ocean view room on the 10th floor which was wonderful and the room and bathroom were well appointed. It is a very big hotel, so there were several conferences happening during our few days .. just something to note since it isn't a small intimate hotel, you're going to see large groups but we never felt like it was an issue in getting service. Overall an excellent hotel, good location and great service.

The hotel grounds and beachfront were lovely. The food was delicious. But the best part was how friendly the staff was. Very kind and helpful. They really made our vacation special. I was so relaxed and happy I never wanted to leave!

The stay at Royal Sonesta was great!! The staff, service and convenience of places for activities was in walking distance or short uber ride very inexpensive. The only issue i had was attempting to set up birthday decorations in the room with the concierge was definitely a miss i attemted to reach him multiple times every day he was either never there at the desk or didn't pick up the phone, once i received him he said he was busy took my information and never called me been i tried reaching him later that day the phone rang and than he hung up needless to say that surprise never happened and i never received a call from him as it's only one concierge

Comfortable except that there was NOISY CONSTRUCTION AT THE POOLSIDE that was not disclosed on hotels.com when we booked. Also, they charged us $100 when we asked to checkout at 2PM even though I am platinum and hotels.com advertised late checkout when available. It was available but they ripped us off for $100. Food at bar restaurant was mediocre.
