Loved the area of the property very close to La Placita. Staff was friendly. I had to ask several times for my room to be cleaned after leaving the sign on the door to request cleaning. Front desk told me only one house keeper was available which is very inconvenient.

The property should disclose that there are 2 sets of stairs and no elevator. I had to lug the suitcases up those 2 flights with no assistance even though there were staff members to assist. The area is unfortunately very dark and there a lot of homeless individuals hanging around the area.

One night before a cruise

Very simple and practical just as i expected. We just slept there one night. Quick walk to La Placita. Staff was very friendly and i appreciated the seltzers in the lobby. There are a steep flight of stairs from the street and carrying suitcases up was a bit of a challenge. Upon checkout the staff insisted on helping. Wish i had known they could have helped with luggage when i arrived !

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Unfortunately I would not stay here again as the walls were far too thin and I could constantly hear voices/TVs from other rooms and the hallway. I would recommend management install carpets in the hallways and sound absorbing panels in the rooms to bring the noise level down.

I did a last minute trip to San Juan so I was afraid I would be stuck in a janky hotel but to my surprise the Somos Hotel was wonderful! The hotel manager, Clark, was amazing and although you see to be right in the thick of it all the hotel was quite safe. One downfall to this property was no on site parking. But overall I would rate my stay a 9. If you want a unique place to stay Somos is it.

We loved the staff! Each and every one of them made sure that we had everything we needed, down to recommendations. One of the men on the staff went above and beyond by helping us bring all of our luggage down the stairs. Our suite was beautiful, and we felt safe our entire stay. Not to mention everything we needed was walking distance which made all of our uber rides between $4-$12 everytime. I will be booking again.

Still Working Out the Kinks

This is a cute, affordable boutique-style hotel. More like a hostel than a hotel, really. But my room wasn't ready when I checked in – even though I arrived an hour after check-in. I had to wait about 40 minutes in a lobby that had nowhere for me to sit while my room was made up. Clark, the manager, was very apologetic and explained that a housekeeper had called out sick that day, but it was still a big hassle. Then, after finally getting into the room, I discovered the TV didn't work. I I understand this is a new place, and they're still working out the kinks. The location is terrific – it's a short walk from Condado and the beach. And the rooms are clean and comfortable. But no one wants to get off a long flight only to have to wait an excessive amount of time for their room to be ready.

Great set up for exactly what you need! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pillows and bed were on the firm side. Other than that great place to stay. Central to many locations including the beach!!!
