No doubt about it, staying in the Isla Verde area of San Juan is the place to be! This is just not a rental property for me, it is my second home, and was my primary home for many years. Just knowing that after a day of travel, your vacation home destination is just less than ten minutes away, once you arrive at Puerto Rico's International airport in San Juan, takes the stress away. Rental amount is includes: No strict check-in or check-out times, as long as it is not before 7:30AM and not later than 7:30PM. The apartment is lovely! What is so unique is that it is on the third floor! The view of the ocean and beach are in perfect line to the living room and dinning room. This amazing view just flows right into the beautiful decor of your home away from home. There are oil paintings throughout. It is elegantly furnished, with Rattan furniture in the living room and dining area. Anyone who comes over, immediately falls in love with the place. Everyone who has stayed, always returns. I also have an amazing Apartment Manager, Alberto. He is there for whatever needs and questions you may have. There are Hunter ceilings fans throughout. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. The apartment has been freshly painted with rich and bright colors such as reds, greens, and yellows. The bathroom is a newly renovated all Italian marble walk-in shower spa. It is located in between both bedrooms. The toilet and shower area can be made separate to the powder room, for dual person access. Closing one of the doors from a bedroom, becomes private to the next if you so desire. There is a beautiful reading room in the lobby with beach views. Security, and Office Administration is also located in the lobby. Pool is located in the back of the building and is private to the guests at the Racquet Club.

There is a parking space available if you decide to rent a car. The car rental place I recommend is Charlie Car Rental, located just blocks away and open 24 hours, as well as a 24 hour Walgreens with a pharmacy and a CVS right up across the street on the corner. Chairs and Umbrellas can be rented right outside in front of the building. This vast beach strip that you will be residing at gives you the luxury of walking to restaurants, shopping, 5-Star Hotel and Casinos, and Live entertainment. Great Day and Night-Life always at your disposal. Washer and Dryers are located on every even numbered floor. Machine money cards are available in the lobby next to the Administrator's office. A new inverter has been added for the living room. Very quiet, and comfortable.

We sure are going to miss the view. As we were told, it feels like the beach is part of your living room. The DREAM ESCAPE was extremely clean and comfortable. We were a short walk from great restaurants and Hotel Casinos. You really don’t need a car!The owner couldn’t be more accommodating. She helped us out with all our questions. Fantastic location and view!

While the condo building itself shows a little age, Yvonne's unit itself was immaculate and perfect for our family of four. The beach/ocean view from the living room can't be beat, and the location allows for walking to numerous activities in San Juan. The beach was perfect for hanging out and swimming. The 24-hr pharmacy / grocery store across the street was very helpful as well. And being literally 10 minutes from the airport helps to limit the stress of travel to and from. Great communication throughout the process and an "in-person" check-in was very helpful.

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Yvonne's place. You literally cross the street that has almost no traffic (it's a dead end) and you are on a beautiful, soft, sandy beach with warm water, medium waves and little undertow. Unit is very clean with some new items like beach towels. Temperature was always comfortable with the AC on and you can hear the waves if you open the windows. Others mentioned the noise from the two restaurants below, but we enjoyed the positive energy from hearing others having fun and their food is quite good. Puerto Rico is a gem if you do it right and this rental checks all of the boxes such as location, safety, cleanliness, cost, friendly people, and convenience. We mostly wanted to chill, so we did not rent a car. Just Ubered everywhere. It never took more than 5 minutes to get a ride and the cost was only 6 locally and about 16 to go into Old San Juan. If you do need a car, read the reviews before picking a rental company. You will probably end up with Charlie rental and remember to bring a copy of your auto policy with you. We hope to return, same time next year!!!

great location

This was our first visit to Puerto Rico and we stayed for 2 weeks. Great location with ocean view, immediate beach access, and this Isle Verde apartment is ideally situated to explore Old San Juan and other points of interest on the island. Clean and comfortable.Friendly staff. Felt very safe in this area, especially with around the clock building security and entries were always locked. Pharmacy a block away with basic sundries, as well as other nearby conveniences. Owner and manager were both very easy to communicate with, very friendly/helpful, and responded very quickly. Thank you Yvonne and Alberto. Highly recommend.

I did not like the area, the place from outside looks ghetto and not attractive. Inside the house did not look like the pictures. The place had a smell and there was cockroach on the ground. Rooms was kind of small. Better for small children no teens. Other than that the staff was nice.

16th Birthday Getaway

We went to PR for 4 nights with our teenage grandson and Yvonne’s condo was perfect for us. We needed 2 bedrooms and oceanfront. The condo was extremely clean and felt very safe. It was a convenient location for our visit to the rainforest and to Old San Juan. The Kumo rooftop restaurant was delicious for dinner one night and the Ocean Breeze beach bar (2 buildings down at the Royal Sonesta) was a great choice for lunches walkable by beach. Would definitely stay here again. Also, we were allowed to stay the whole day of departure because we had a 9pm flight which was extremely convenient.

Perfect location

This place is exactly as described. It is in the perfect location to do anything in the San Juan metropolitan area. Beach is right across the street along with easy access to bar/restaurant on the street level. The parking spot was a no brainer for us since we always rent a car when in PR. Fantastic Place to Stay

The Tropical Jewel was perfect for our 10-day stay in Puerto Rico. It was my husband, my brother and myself and the apartment was perfect and just the right size. It was stocked with anything you could need in the kitchen and also had beach towels and beach chairs we could use. The view from the living room was amazing and when we were in the apartment, that is where we sat, looking out at the water. Being on the 3rd floor made it was such an easy walk to the beach and also to many restaurants, bars, and a grocery store as well as a couple of casinos (if you're into that). And there are a couple car rental places close by which made it easy to rent a car for a few days while we were there. The owner was so responsive as was Alberto, the property manager. We would highly recommend renting this wonderful apartment!

Good 1st time experience

I had a good 1st time experience staying in a place other than a hotel. The host & condo manager were very nice & informative. The place was exactly as pictured & written about. The check in & out was smooth. The instructions, directions, & information was easy to follow. I felt very safe in the condo & the neighborhood. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area as well as enjoy the beach located right outside the condo. The communication was good & only a text/call away with a quick response. The recommendations give by the host were very informative & helpful. I enjoyed the ones we chose & wish I could've done them all honestly except didn't have time since I went for a wedding. The property was right on the beach which the view was beautiful. The plus stops here. I was embarrassed by the security guard telling 4 seniors she would be watching our every move, her words. The building was dilapidated and old smelling. Upon entry we began to notice things: Trash in the bathroom can Toilet not cleaned behind the lid Went to toast bread found the tray with french fries we don't eat them Pool was ok bathrooms were filthy Air conditioner went out Oh and what ever you do DO NOT LEAN FORWARD on any of the three chairs and sofa you see in the picture. You will fall flat forward

The property was as described and just perfect! The location was great for walking to restaurants, shopping and the beach. The view was spectacular! We enjoyed the Alambique restaurant downstairs very much and definitely enjoyed the $5 mimosas! We went to old San Juan for a day and ate at El Jibarito restaurant that Yvonne recommended at it was delicious! I highly recommend this property and would stay again if we get back to Puerto Rico!
