We caught bedbugs at this resort. Alcohol variety was disgusting. The staff was not helpful at all. The room conditions were very, very, very poor with noisy beds and one electric socket for the entire room.

Omg!!! The hotel is gorgeous. The staff so attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and you MUST BOOK AT THE A LA CART Restaurants!!! I felt like a queen with the attention I received during our dinner. We ate at La Gourmet and Cappricio. You will absolutely love the service, the presentation of the meals. I’m telling you, EVERY THING was just AMAZING. I will definitely go back next year.

Customer service inside the hotel was outstanding.However, if you need to request an Uber or Taxi be aware of the extra fees"overprices" charges. This appeared to be a valet parking joint connection they have been established. It was ridiculous like it Mafia. I was so upset of the dishonesty and how they robbed me and the tourist in this facility. This needs to be investigated and stopped.

As newbies to the all inclusive world we had no idea what to expect. We really weren’t given good information on arrival but learned quickly from other visitors. All of the staff, every single one, was kind and very accommodating. Our room was clean but a bit outdated. Food was delicious. Coffee was the best! The foam party was so much fun. The only big issue we had was with the excursion we booked at the hotel. It was awful. The property was gorgeous and well maintained.

We had a wonderful stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romana. The property is extremely clean, lush, and truly feels like a little paradise. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help, and everything at the resort is well organized. The food and bar options were very good — plenty of variety and everything tasted fresh. Drinks were great and service was quick. The kids club was a huge highlight for us. We could leave our child for about 1–1.5 hours, and he was always busy with fun activities. He absolutely loved the mini disco, movie nights, and the little circus show in the evenings. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping kept everything spotless. The beach is beautiful, very clean, and there’s lots of natural shade under the palm trees, which is perfect for families. Overall, this resort exceeded our expectations. It’s a peaceful, friendly, and well-run place — a great choice for a relaxing family vacation.

Dangerous water, contaminated beach, zero warnings, and terrible customer service — avoid this resort at all costs My family had the worst and most dangerous experience we have ever had at any hotel. The seawater at this resort is unsafe and contaminated. My husband contracted a serious bacterial infection directly from the ocean and required hospitalization. The doctor confirmed the infection came from seawater bacteria—not food, not weather, but the water itself. We also witnessed jellyfish in the water, yet the resort provided no proper warnings. There is only one tiny sign on a very large beach, completely insufficient for guest safety. Nobody at the front desk or lifeguard station informed us about contamination, jellyfish, or any risks. During the last days of our stay, when we already stopped swimming because of everything that happened, we saw two small children, around seven years old, get severely stung by jellyfish. One little boy looked like he had third- or fourth-degree burn-like marks on his skin. It was heartbreaking to watch, and all of this happened in just one week. I cannot imagine how many incidents occur throughout the season that the resort simply ignores. We also personally know several families who were there at the same time and ended up either hospitalized with seawater bacteria or suffered severe food poisoning—the same problems we had. Yet the management keeps telling every family the same line: “You are the only guests who complained”

Dear Travelocity Support Team, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a serious incident that occurred during our recent stay in the Dominican Republic, which we booked through Travelocity. Guest Names: James & Dalia Aikens Hotel: Bahia Principe Room: 3603 Travel Dates: November 21–30, 2025 Date of Incident: November 25–26, 2025 On the second day of our stay, a strong rotten egg / sulfur odor suddenly filled our hotel room. The smell became so severe that the room was completely uninhabitable, forcing us to leave in the middle of the night. We experienced physical discomfort and were concerned about potential health risks, which led us to seek medical attention. We reported the issue to the front desk four separate times, but our concerns were not addressed with the necessary urgency. It was not until around 3:00 AM that a maintenance worker, Izrael, came to investigate. He confirmed the odor was real and immediately assisted us in relocating to another room. While we appreciated his help, the hotel’s overall response was unacceptable given the seriousness of the situation. As a result of this incident, we experienced:    •   A lost night of our vacation    •   Physical discomfort and medical expenses    •   Significant inconvenience and emotional distress We are requesting appropriate compensation for the lost night and for the medical visit caused by the unsafe room conditions. We trust that Travelocity will assist us in resolving this matter .

One of the main reasons I booked Bahia Principe Grand La Romana was specifically for the beach and the sea. I already have a pool at home, so I came to enjoy the ocean — and that turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the entire trip. The sea water was horrible: dark, murky, and completely unappealing. It was nothing like the clear water shown in photos. But the worst part was that my son was bitten by a jellyfish and had an allergic reaction. The staff didn’t provide real help or first aid guidance. Moreover, no one mentioned about jellyfish during check-in process. As if that wasn’t enough, on our last day, both my son and I got food poisoning from the resort’s food. Because of the unsafe and dirty water, none of us were able to swim in the ocean at all — which defeats the entire purpose of traveling to the Dominican Republic. It felt like a complete waste, considering we only came for the beach.
