Terrible experience. We rented 2 rooms, 1 facing the volcano, 1 facing the forest (201&101) Both rooms smell bad and we though it as bug spray due to the large amount of bugs found on the one facing the volcano. Apparently, the smell was coming from all the bathroom drains. It appears the staff plugged the drain to avoid the smell, we didn’t know this until after we took a shower and noticed the whole bathroom and part of the bedroom has flooded. This happened after 9 pm when the hotel closes so no help until the next day. We had to clean it the best we could that night. The staff didn’t acknowledged the inconvenience and said the smell was sulfur from the volcano. They didn’t offer to reimburse or discount our stay although we didn’t have hot water, they said the wind knocked power to their water heater generator.

Overall very nice

Very nice grounds. For the most part, very friendly, helpful staff. The wifi was kind of annoying, it seemed liked every few minutes you had to log back in. Very nice restaurant. Nice daily breakfast. Beautiful views and nice location. Cold showers.

Pro: right on the beach in the middle of El Tunco, they offer complimentary breakfast and the beds are comfortable Cons: the room had no warm water which is not indicated no where in the booking. They should have a warming or mention that that specific room had no hot showers. The pool was a bit disappointing as there are almost no place to lounge or sit down.

Room did not come with hot water. When we inquired we were informed that only premium rooms come with hot water for showers. This should be called out and made more clear prior to booking. Hot water for showers is a basic amenity so is disappointing to find out that this is considered a "premium" room amenity only after arriving and having already showered in the cold once.

Get ready for some cold showers. There is no hot water. The bed was not very comfortable and pretty hard. I dont recommend this place if you want to sleep at night. There are many bars in the area and it gets LOUD. Some dudes were singing at the top of their lungs “I dont care, I love it” on karaoke and I will forever be traumatized if i ever hear that song again.
