Happy holidays at Villa La Ventana

We had a great stay here. The views are simply amazing and the pool area is lovely to pass a relaxing few hours. We thoroughly recommend staying at Villa La Ventana for a wonderful place to explore both the Amalfi coast and Sorrento peninsula. You need a car to make the most of the location but well worth being away from the main tourist hustle & bustle. A friendly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay at this family-owned establishment from the three brothers who between them offer good company, good service and a delicious breakfast omelette! This is a special place. Brothers are amazing. Very nice B&B. Would only recommend if you have a car. 15min drive to sorrento. Worth it. You’ll love. Trust me.

What a unique Villa !!! The website does not lie. The architect designed property was built in the late 1960's. The walls and floors are finished with colourful quality marble. This place is certainly special. We booked one of their Superior rooms for our 7 day stay on the Sorrento Peninsula, Our room had a splendid view onto the Amalfi coastline. The room size was modest, but more than adequate for our stay. We were met by Gaetano, one of three sons who run the property. Soon after Danilo, who takes great pride in the property and its gardens, introduced himself to us. His passion for his garden and home produced products beamed from him. We met with Angelo who is the primary "communicator" at La Ventana on the second day, He was super helpful and offered several suggestions on visiting the area. La Ventana does not have a restaurant as such but it is possible to eat in. A day menu is available but you can put in your special dining requests. Mamma Rosa does all the cooking and was more than happy to accommodate the two special dinner requests that we put in during our stay. Villa La Ventana has a large pool and jacuzzi which are located in the garden area above the property. From here you can see both the Amalfi and Sorrento coastlines. Overall a great experience and highly recommended to those looking for a base to tour this area of Italy.

The brothers were super friendly and had some great recommendations for things to do. Angelo helped us book a tour to Capri. Totally worth it. Villa Ventana is located in Colli do Fontanele - a great mid point for exploring the amalfi coast, Pompei, Capri and Sorrento. You really do need a car though.

I spent five days at the property in August. Could't be happier with our stay. The four brothers who run the hotel are wonderful and attentive, and made our stay quite special. The hotel itself is beautiful. Great value for your money.

The perfect stay for Sorrento

In my book, innkeepers make or break the stay at a B&B. In this case, we couldn't have asked for better hosts that the D'Esposito brothers. Danilo, Gaetano and Angelo all have a hand in running this expansive property along with their mother Rosa who is the master chef whipping up culinary delights in the kitchen each night. Breakfast is included, dinner (at a very reasonable price) is available each evening. They put on cooking classes, raise chickens for fresh eggs, have a pool overlooking their beautiful vistas and will soon finish a terrazzo to hold outdoor events. The property is perfectly situated. On paper it looks far from Sorrento but really it's not and the 15 minute drive is worth every minute because La Villa is on one of the highest points on the peninsula and the vistas are UNBELIEVABLE. Personally I loved the curvy hairpin drive up and down, but if that's not your speed, the hosts will shuttle you around for very reasonable rates. I can't say enough about how great our stay was... Proprio l'ottimo, la sincera verità. Mille grazie, ragazzi!

Just wow! This bed & breakfast was truly the best part of our entire trip to Europe. First off, the views are absolutely stunning and if we hadn't left the property, that would've been more than fine with us. This B&B is located in the mountains and quick walk to the most gorgeous hike we've ever done - but also not too far from some of the coastal cities. The best of both worlds! Secondly, Gatano and Danillo were excellent hosts. We had a bunch of cancellations getting there and they stayed up late to welcome us. They were more than accommodating and helped us with planning our days into Pompeii and Positano, driving us around, and even set up the most romantic, candle-lit (homemade) dinner one night for us. We have been telling multiple people to book here if they decide to stay on the Amalfi coast - highly recommend!

Excellent place !!!

Excellent Excellent Excellent! We are a couple and we looked for a quiet place to relax and this was perfect for us during our visit in Sorrento. We had a great time just relaxing in this home with a great family host and very good dinner. (even the best dinner we had in the all trip). Room are very clean beautiful and comfortable. The attention we received from the entire family was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here and we are highly recommended .

Brilliant Find

I'd love to score the Villa La Ventana more than five. A wonderful, welcoming and thoroughly relaxing slice of bliss, set in beautiful countryside a 25 minute drive from Sorrento town centre. The staff are so friendly and really can't do enough for you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Michele, Elena and their team are fabulous hosts and special mention must go to the fantastic Natalia for making our stay so great. Excellent food from Marco (who'll also choose your wine for your too if you like). There's a decent pizzeria/ristorante (La Panorama) just down the hill if you fancy something different too. There's some traffic noise from the road (remember, you are in Italy!) but it does quieten down early evening. You'll arrive a guest and leave as a friend. Thank you all for a brilliant holiday in a fantastic part of the world. We will definitely be back (just to check on Panda the hotel cat if nothing else...!)

Die Aussicht und die Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeber ist sehr hervorzuheben. Bei etwaigen Fragen wurde schnell und lösungsorientiert gehandelt. Ich kann die sehr auf Sicherheit ausgelegte Unterkunft nur empfehlen, auch wenn ein Auto in dieser Region fast Pflicht ist! Gerne wieder! Viele Grüße

We had a great stay at this family owned gem. 4 nights in the August heat with beautiful view over the bay. The pool was especially nice during this time and have to mention the brothers that run the place and made us feel right at home!
