Logo na chegada, fui surpreendido com um upgrade para uma das maiores suítes da propriedade, o que já definiu o tom da estadia. As instalações são novas e extremamente modernas, condizentes com um hotel inaugurado há apenas um ano. Toda a equipe se mostrou excepcionalmente atenciosa e prestativa em todos os momentos, com um nível de serviço irrepreensível. Os quartos são de última geração, combinando conforto e tecnologia. A experiência gastronômica também merece destaque, especialmente o café da manhã, que oferece excelente variedade e qualidade. Com toda certeza, está entre os melhores hotéis de São Paulo, proporcionando uma estadia memorável em todos os aspectos.

O W São Paulo entrega uma vista bonita e uma estética “de marca”, mas a experiência real fica abaixo do que se espera de um 5 estrelas — principalmente por um ponto grave e recorrente: o tratamento desigual no check-in. Em mais de três ocasiões, vimos o mesmo pad Em mais de três ocasiões, vimos o mesmo padrão se repetir: hóspedes estrangeiros eram atendidos e direcionados aos quartos com rapidez, enquanto clientes locais ficavam esperando, sem prioridade e sem explicação clara. Não foi um caso isolado — soa como prática. E isso, além de desconfortável, é inaceitável para qualquer hotel que se posiciona como luxo. Fora isso, a estadia acumulou falhas que reforçam a sensação de operação desorganizada: cheiro de esgoto, janelas e estruturas do quarto rangendo, toalhas do spa manchadas e informações inconsistentes (site/TV prometem, a operação não cumpre). Exemplo direto: o SPA aparece como 24h, mas na prática só agenda até 18h. Para viajantes a negócios, piora: não há espaço adequado para trabalho e a internet deixa a desejar. O atendimento, embora educado, muitas vezes pareceu performático (piadinhas constantes) e houve um episódio especialmente inadequado: um gerente discutindo problemas internos do hotel na recepção, em público. Em áreas comuns, uma goteira grande no lounge/recepção quebra qualquer narrativa de excelência. Some a isso amenidades básicas ausentes (ex.: kit de barbear), frigobar fraco para o nível e um menu de restaurante pouco inspirado para um 5 estrelas.
