This is my second time staying here so I wasn't quite sure if the first time was a "fluke" (my first stay was also great), but this is one of the cleanest motels I've stayed at. Manager is very friendly, room is very clean and comfortable and everything is in working order. And the price is great. Keep in mind that it IS a motel so keep expectations in check, but if you are looking for a motel room for a clean, comfortable rest while travelling, you'll have a hard time beating this.

The Trunk Road Motel is a small single floor Motel right on the highway in Sault Ste Marie. The phone that runs it is amazing he has great customer service skills. While the motel is a bit older it has been updated reasonably well it is clean it smells good the bathroom is very very clean. There is a fridge a microwave a coffee maker and there's even a pair of actual glass wine glasses not plastic. I believe this is my fourth time staying here and I have never had a problem.

Staff were very professional and responsive. Was given a bottle of water and because I ride a motorcycle the offered a small piece of plywood for under the kickstand and some windex and microfibre towels to clean the bugs off the windscreen. This property is very well maintained and there has been a lot of attention paid to little details. Would recommend.
