After you've explored Schashagen for a while, explore Schleswig-Holstein's other delights. If you love nature, be sure to explore Schleswig-Holstein's beaches, coastal plains and forests. Alternatively, head to some of the region's castles, historic mansions and war relics and monuments. Visitors in this section of Germany enjoy mountain climbing.

Kiel is 55 kilometres to the northwest of Schashagen and is home to the Kiel Opera House and Schifffahrtsmuseum. Hamburg Airport is the most frequently used airport for transiting in or out of Schashagen and is 80 kilometres drive from the CBD. If you choose to stay nearby, try the Radisson Blu Hotel, Hamburg Airport or the Courtyard by Marriott Hamburg Airport.
