Bakkar is a new high-class villa that has all you need to experience Iceland in the most comfortable and luxurious way. Situated in Grímsnes, close to the “Golden circle” route, and perfectly placed for day-tours to the popular tourist attractions of South Iceland

The house is on one level of 200 m2, four large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms plus a powder room. The kitchen/dining/living room is an open-plan with astounding views over two waterways coming together at the edge of the property.

We could not have been happier with our stay here! The house is exactly what is advertised. It is beautiful, and extremely well appointed. It had everything we needed. The location is wonderful. It was a great home base for us to do some day trips. The best part was of course the Northern Lights! The host was very responsive. There was a small issue with the hot tub, but he prepared us for that. My only remotely negative comment would be that the hot tub was not hot enough for us with the cold winds. We were three couples staying here and we all agree we would love to stay in this house again.

This house is almost too good to be real, but it is. The pictures are not AI, this place actually looks like that! Our group stayed here for six nights and we could not have asked for a better experience. Each couple had their own suite and bathroom, which was perfect. The bedding was on point, the water pressure was great, and the ability to do laundry was a nice bonus. The views are stunning! The outdoor soaking tub was wonderful, especially in the early morning with a cup of coffee. It's rare to walk into someone else's space and feel immediately at home but the owner nailed it. Speaking of, he's a super nice guy and very communicative. This place is a 10/10, no notes. We want to return!

We were lucky enough to stay in this absolutely gorgeous property. The house is new and beautifully appointed. We were extremely comfortable and the house is supplied with anything you could need. All directions provided by the owner were clear and very helpful.The view is truly stunning. Starting and ending our day with a view of the valley and water was a highlight of our vacation. This property is conveniently located near town (Selfoss) and within the Golden Circle. Our party based ourselves here for 6 days and explored the sites of southern Iceland. We loved it and hope to find ourselves back here again.
