Avoid staying for 3 reasons: 1. They turn off A/C when it isn’t summer. We stayed in fall and our room was 27 degrees Celsius and I was told to open my window instead. They brought a fan which kept it down to 25 which is still way too warm for me. This alone is enough to avoid this place. 2. The hotel is old and outdated. Thin walls, I heard our neighbour sneeze. Toilet barely flushes. The sink and the tub both were nearly clogged and slowly drained. 3. Not in Myeongdong touristy area. It is about 25 minute brisk walk to the shopping myeongdong area. The area it’s located in is a sketchy commercial area that is really not pleasant to walk around. I gave it two stars as the only pro was it was close to 4 subway lines (around 8 minute walk) which was easy to get around the city. Low budget hotel don’t stay here unless it’s super cheap which is what this hotel is.

The hotel is nice and we really liked that they offer luggage storing. The buffet was also good. It’s also around a lot of restaurants and cafes. The only downside is that the rooms get hot and stuffy. The AC doesn’t work well, we asked the staff about it and they said it’s centralized. This caused us to sleep uncomfortably because it was hot.

1. We stayed in a basic king room, which was spacious enough for our family of three. Housekeeping was done daily, and the room was always clean. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness and service. 2. The hotel isn’t right in Myeongdong, but it’s in the Eulji-ro and Chungmuro area, which is still close to the center. Subway lines and public transport are within walking distance. Buses and taxis are also easy to find. We mostly used Uber for convenience. The nearest subway lines are Line 2 and Line 3. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to main areas. 3. There are many local restaurants nearby. We enjoyed walking around, especially in the Chungmuro area, and trying different places to eat. There are lots of affordable options with delicious and authentic food.

It was okay.

There is a damp smell in the halls. We reserved for a family of 5. On Hotels.com it describes the room as accommodating for up to 5. When we got there they told us that it was only a room for 4. We had to move the couch and a stool to make a tiny bed for our daughter. And they charged for an extra set of towels and bedding. Not really as expected and it was disappointing. Room looks big but it’s tiny. Breakfast was huge but nothing was warm besides the soup and waffle station.
