Good location and good off-peak price

Everything without refrigerator and mattress is okay when I stayed in single room. I was glad to have private restroom in my room. Location is very good so that Seoul station is so close (5 min by walk) but need to hike uphill a little bit. But mattress was not comfortable and refrigerator had a lot of expired foods which past guests left or forgot to throw to trash. I think manager needs to take a concern about how to manage food in the refrigerator.

Very helpful staff! We had a great problem finding it late at night. Travelers from Seoul Station need to know to exit 11, then you turn right on the first small street, it is a pedestrian only street, and walk up about 5 minutes. If we had these directions it would have been easy. Took us over an hour.

Great stay!!!

Majung Haus is great!! Cons: - Walk up the slope from Seoul station can be really exhausting (but we knew this already before we booked the place from other reviews) - Room was really very small for 4 pax squished into the family room. Barely enough space to put all our luggages. - Was only provided with 1 big towel and 3 small towels by default. Upon request, they will provide more. However, we experienced this same issue in another hotel in Jeju so I'm not sure if this is a norm in Korea... Pros: Everything else was really fantastic! Even though the room we booked is without breakfast, they still had simple cornflakes with milk that is free for all guests to eat! JJ and Jiny were really helpful. Highly recommended!!!

clean and nice

For the price I can heartily recommend Majung Haus. Jinny and JJ were nice and helpful. I found it late at night will no worries and Jinny had the paperwork all ready. Took a minute to check in. Check out, by 11 am, took no time. Is an uphill climb to get there, but I had just a small back pack. With luggage you will get a bit of a workout for sure. I saw JJ carry a suitcase up the stairs for a guest.

A familiar stay that I always keep going.

it was always a pleasant stay at MaJung Haus. Services from the siblings - JJ and Jinny - just love, love, love. Fantastic!!! it was great seeing familiar faces whenever I am away to a familiar place. Cozy quiet- my kind of liking.

Perfect location as it's so close to Seoul Station

The hosts were so kind and helpful, JJ lugged all my heavy luggage up the stairs and offered some local knowledge on what to see and do. My room was perfect and very clean. I stayed for two days and it was very comfortable, wish I could have stayed longer. The location is perfect and you can catch the subway to all the attractions you wish to see. The rooftop was amazing with a beautiful view of Seoul tower. 10/10

Fantastic Hostel! Simple - Clean - Secure :)

I stayed at Majung Haus for 3 nights at the start of August - in a single room. I thought it was a great place to stay and honestly was expecting a bit of a dive for the low price I paid! Was happily surprised! I arrived in Seoul in the morning - taking the train to Seoul Station from the airport. The hostel was about a 5-10 min walk from the station that (once I found the right station exit and was on the correct side of the road) was pretty manageable. The street signs are also in English so it was easy enough to navigate once I worked out where I was. The trek was all uphill though - just be aware - so with the humidity, and dragging a suit case you'll get a bit sweaty!! haha The room was perfect for me! The bed is "thin" by western standards but very comfortable! The TV on the wall was on a bracket so I could swivel and watch it in bed. There was a tonne of channels, but no list so I had to scan through it all the channels to find an English one; not so bad - Korean TV was pretty funny to watch! The bathroom was newly renovated! Super clean and functional! It's a wet-room style, so the shower head is on the wall above the sink. Just means that the floor gets wet so make sure you don't leave towels on the floor and just don't bring your clothes into the bathroom!! I don't know why people complain - it's a great use of the space available! The water drained away well! Gets pretty humid - just leave the window open while you're out otherwise the room will be stuffy!

JJ and his sister were unbelievably friendly and welcoming! The room was a little small but it was survivable! An asthmatic ascend from street level and no lifts built in but they are very kind to assist with luggage and shopping. It was a very pleasant stay.

Nice hotel in nearby Seoul station

The location is good for people who wants to catch ktx train out from Seoul station. Is about 10 mins walk of uphill to the hotel but still manageable. The exterior of the motel is really outstanding with pastel blue and easily recognizable. The hote staff were friendly and willing to assist and speak good English too. Our room was pretty small and cannot even open up our luggage bag, another drawback is the air conditioning system automatically switched off every 15 mins and even after the hotel staff came to fix but still to no avail . Luckily, there was another room next door that was unoccupied and the hote staff willing to move us there. Lastly , the breakfast was simple but the sandwish was really delicious!!!

그냥 위치도 애매하구 직원중 할머니랑 할아버지 계시는데 너무 불친절 하셔서 좀 숙박하기 애매했습니다 그리고 뭐만하면 추가요금내야되서 추가금액 20,000원두 더 내서 생각보다 여행자금이 부족했습니다

Not recommend unless you can sleep like rock

The room is way too warm (mid-October) and other traveller opened the window and the mosquito flew into the room. Didn't sleep well all night. Also, the bunk bed is really hard. Literally just slept on the wood.

길에서 호텔까지 가는 골목이 조금 위험해 보여서 여자아이 혼자 다니기에는 좀 위험해 보였고, key를 받고 객실 안으로 들러서자 좋지않은 냄새가 나서 조금 불쾌했었습니다. 인터넷에서 본 방의 모습과 실제로 본 것과 크기가 조금 상이한 것 같았습니다. 아침에 택시를 잡아주시는 주인 아주머니의 친절은 감사합니다.
