The service and staff were EXCELLENT! We travelled as a family and had a wonderful experience in Shanghai staying at this hotel. Buffet offered a wide variety of options and my daughter enjoyed the selection. The water view from our hotel room was amazing.

We had a lovely stay. Hotel is beautiful and smells pleasant. My advise is to make sure to add breakfast when booking. I booked 3 rooms for this trip. Accidentally left out breakfast for one room. There's no breakfast restaurant around the area.

What can i say...its the Shangri La...world famous hotel. The hotel from checking in to the staff was first class. We stayed a few days for a double celebration....daughters birthday and our wedding anniversary. Told them in advance and they decorated our room for our daughter with balloons and a cake, and for anniversary they gave us towel swans. Lovely touch. They collected our luggage and took it up to our room after checking in. Seamless process. The check in desk was super helpful and quick to get is checked in. The hotel itself is stunning and only a short walk from the Pearl TV Tower. Would highly recommend if you want to visit that side of the river. Very affordable rates too over the weekend that we stayed. Asked the concierge for booking a larger car for our ride to the airport. He called up and sourced us a larger car. Cheaper than Didi too. So consider asking for their services if you have a lot of luggage and prams

Great location, hotel is next to a nice mall that offers affordable food options. The staff at the hotel cafe Gourmet are friendly and cheerful. My family have breakfast there every morning (freshly brewed coffee, tuna roll, sandwiches, cakes). It would be great if the hotel could consider offering airport-hotel shuttle service especially for evening checkin.

Great overall hotel, typical of the Shangri-La standard. It is right next to Lujiazui an intersection MRT station for Line 2 and 14 which makes it very easy to get to all the major central Shanghai tourist spots. There is a high-end mall, across the street which sites the Ritz, a lifestyle mall in the same side of the street which has great food upstairs and the usual shopping outlets and a Disney store standalone outlet just further down the street. Overall a very comfortable stay. Only comments would be that the curtains appear a bit dated, some parts of the curtain don't really cover the entire window. Having bidets would be a big plus, some parts of the toilet are showing their age but still in good quality. Wouldn't recommend the buffet breakfast unless it happens to be included in your package. We feel it's overpriced for the array of selections and quality but we have high-standards for food so it may be to your fancy if you have a chance. Staff are tip-top. Service is impeccable.
