When arriving I was confused by the university signs and buildings. However everything was good especially the nearby botanical gardens. In comparison to the restaurant at dinner there were plenty at the breakfast.

Lovely clean room, amazing tea and coffee station and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was good and the location was convient. However the room was so hot, even with the fan going all night and the windows open as far as they would go.

Steel city gem

Situated in a lovely area of Sheffield. I was able to walk back to hotel late at night and felt perfectly safe. First impression from outside favourable and once inside it doesn't disappoint. Rooms are large and comfortable with spacious bathroom. Nice touch is that fresh milk is available from a communal area rather than those irritating milk pots in the room. Breakfast was included and it really was first class individually prepared.

Overall pleasant but not outstanding place to stay. No lifts so might be a disadvantage for some. Staff friendly enough but at breakfast sat for 30 minutes waiting for someone to order hot food which never happened and when finally someone emerged they had closed the kitchen. Coffee machine in bedroom has free refills in communal corridor which is where fridge is - all great if anyone explains that, which they didn't at check in. If like me you need a fridge for medications then not fab! Only fridge is the one for milk in corridor.

The hotel is very pleasant, in a nice area. 10 minute walk to a bus stop or 35 minute walk to the city. I prefer a kettle rather than a coffee machine. Rooms not large but fine for a short stay. Fan essentila on the night we visited.

A hidden gem

This is a hidden gem, the rooms are well furnished comfortable, the staff friendly and the service was profesional but on the right side of friendly. Will be staying here many times in the future.

Really comfortable stay.

Check in very good and quick. Parking a bit hit and miss and would expect there to be problems if the hotel was full. Very clean room and excellent bathroom. Everything worked as it should. Would stay here again without a second thought.

Really lovely stay. Room was lovely. Staff very polite and friendly. My only suggestion would be that they may want to be a little more flexible on the full English breakfast offering I.E. if a guest would like to swap a sausage for a hash brown, it’s not a flat no. Otherwise fabulous stay. Recommend.
