Nice - could be better, but I’d be back

Hotel is well located and the staff are super friendly. It’s all quite new and I’m sure the normal rooms are great - unfortunately I was given a room specially equipped for the disabled meaning a very strange bathroom configuration (very high loo, very low basin, wet room). Breakfast (inc service) was excellent but they could do with an extra coffee machine!

Wouldn’t recommend birthday package as only get a few balloons, dry cake, birthday message and 2 mini Proseccos for £35. Upgrade was nice as it was partners birthday. No shower gel in bottles, you’d think the cleaner would have topped these up. Very noisy around hotel due to all the works and drilling going off in the morning. Bed wasn’t really comfy either, didnt sleep well. Overall disappointed with our first stay here

This is a nice, quite new hotel and the room was spacious and clean. However there was an issue with the electrics tripping in the room so could not use the kettle or TV. Reception staff were excellent and the problem was resolved (I was assured it wouldn’t happen again) it happened a further 2 times. The last time this happened was on the morning I was leaving and as I was on a tight schedule, I didn’t report it to reception until I was checking out,I asked to speak to the duty manager but was advised by the receptionist that I would receive an email or call to discuss, but disappointingly, I have not received any contact. I was staying 2 nights and in hindsight should have asked for another room. The lack of follow up is not what I would have expected from this chain!
