A Craftsman's Masterpiece with Ocean Views and Hot Tub

This home was lovingly built by a master craftsman, who spent his entire life collecting nautical treasures from his life spent tied to the sea. From the numerous port holes to the third story captains quarters you will feel like you’ve stepped into a very special space. Every piece of wood and brick was hand picked and chosen specifically for this beautiful home. Abalone shells are built into the fireplace and the shower tile giving it an element not usually found at vacation homes. Each door knob and cabinet pull is made out of a polished rock or shell. The expansive windows look out over the beautiful blue skies and ocean views as far as you can see. Enjoy the second-story deck for barbecuing or cozy up on the Adirondack chairs next to the gas fire as you listen to the waves crash. The weather in Shelter Cove is part of the allure, leave the doors open or crack one of the many ship windows and let the ocean breeze flow through the house. Each bedroom offers something a little different. The bottom two have beautiful hardwood floors, luxury linens and comfortable pillow top mattresses that will allow you to have a peaceful nights rest. The first floor bedroom has a futon bed, intended for a single adult or children. The bottom floor bedroom has a couch Dutton for smaller guests. The lucky guest who gets the third-floor bedroom will take the winding staircase masterly crafted up to the captains quarters. This cozy bedroom allows views of the ocean from either side and makes you feel like you’re the passenger on a sea voyage. If you’re a cook, the kitchen has all amenities to enjoy barbecuing or a home-cooked meal with an added bonus of ocean view while doing the dishes. When you head to the beach don’t forget the sand toys and beach towels upon your return shower off the sand with the outside shower.

This homes central Shelter Cove location allows you a short walk down to the Gyppo’s Ale Mill (fantastic handcrafted beer, delicious food and live music) and the Surf Point Coffee House (best eggs benedict, homemade bagels, and coffee). If you head the opposite direction you will find Delgadas Pizza and amazing Mi Mochima that offers amazing Venezuelan food. Come enjoy our home and discover the hidden secret of Shelter Cove.

After a long day of exploring, enjoy a soak in the hot tub located on the second story deck overlooking Shelter Cove or play a game of cornhole with our new custom boards made locally. We also have golf clubs and a pickle ball set for your enjoyment.

* * The home is three stories. The third bedroom is on the third floor and my favorite. It is cozy and charming, and the stairs leading up are a hand built metal/wood masterpiece but may not be suitable for elderly and young children. (However it’s the requested room of my mother-in-law who’s 73 when she stays)

** We are happy to host your four legged family members and but ask that they stay off of the furniture and beds. The property is not fenced and it’s your responsibility to clean up after your pet.
