Hotel needs work

Shower/tub dirty. Toilet wouldn't flush. Flapper wouldn't close without help. Used public bathroom, no towels to dry hands.

The non-smoking rooms smell of past smoking experiences. The a/c has a musty smell. Door required a little extra lift to latch. The building was quiet and sleep was easy.

There were bugs that had just been exterminated in our bathroom. Breakfast was minimal for price. Coffee feom machine. Hard beds. Not like any Comfort Inn I've stayed at.

There where gnats in the syrup in the free breakfast. The shower didn't work in the room. And the beds where so spring in your back you couldn't sleep especially with a cricket chirping all night. Never Again

Nice stop and off the beaten path!

Travel without a hotel destination, I can always find a hotel somewhere through Hotels.com on my phone app., this was a great place to stop and not too crowded! Had a small swimming pool and a hot breakfast! Nice customer relations!

Staff was very unaccommodating and unfriendly, the place was dirty run down in very much need of some updates it doesn't even have an ice machine the pool is disgusting and not maintained air conditioners don't work worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I will never stay there again

Terrible place to stay. It was not marked as a Comfort Inn. In fact I don’t think there was any signage. Rooms were dirty. Breakfast area had roaches crawling on the counters. Would not recommend.

If you have a problem or something is wrong management is quick to fix it. The bed was very comfortable. They do have a breakfast unfortunately i leave out for work before it is served. But it smells delicious. Everyone is very friendly.

The bathtub/shower had been repaired in a very poor manner. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling by it's wires. The safety door lock was broken.

When I was looking for a hotel this one was rated "Very good" 8.2 so I expected it to be OK. It was not. When we checked in the room we were given was hot and dark and dirty. The A/C was blowing hot air (it was 90 degrees outside), the entry light was not working and at first we could not see the state of the room. We left our luggage in the room while we went to meet family. When we returned the room was still not cool. The desk person did offer to give us a different room; we declined the offer. We went to another hotel - the last room in town. We did not demand a refund as the desk person had told us he had only worked there for ten days and had had a hard time checking us in. I don't believe any of this was his fault. Yes, I believe we are owed a refund.

Be careful booking with Expedia. Sent us to wrong location. No reservation there. We were reserved at a different hotel. Address on site was not correct. What a mess!! Very frustrating and can’t get money back.

Could have been better

The motel obviously has low income tenants living there. Older property and not really updated. An example: The toilet was an elongated style with a round toilet seat that did not cover the porcelain completely. Yuck! Especially for a female. The fiberglass bathtub was dirty looking but I think it was just stained . I feel I would have had to wear flip flops so my feet wouldn't touch the the bottom of the tub, had I used it. The white microwave & refrigerator were both a dingy yellow. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were completely flat and hard. I feel I was way overcharged. I paid almost $78 for 1 night, in a small town. Definitely not worth it.

I've stayed there 3 different times when coming back to visit Iowa. The staff up front at the desk very approachable always takecare of me. The pool is up and running and the air conditioning feels great.
