Functional, affordable, and geeky guesthouse in Siem Reap. The first maker-space in the town for digital nomads, geeks, and developers.

The property is a mix of a makerspace and a guesthouse, where I teach programming, networking, and electronics. As a digital nomad myself, it is designed for geeks, IT people, and remote workers; discount for long stay, quiet environment, and fast and reliable fiber Internet access. The space
Our rooms are not gorgeous, but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. A shared kitchen and cookware are available for guests. Kids are welcome to our garden, which has swings and playground equipment. Guests are welcome to use a swimming pool at Babel Guesthouse (minimum order, USD 5), our neighbor just next door. All rooms have a private bathroom with hot shower. We have one double room with a bathtub, but the bathtub is not usable.

We have workshops for guests: basic electronics for kids, candle making for family, and serious projects for hackers.

All rooms and common spaces are well covered by multiple WiFi access points. The internet access line is fibre. You will not be disappointed.

A shared kitchen with kitchenware and essentials is available at the back garden, and a fridge is available in a room at the ground floor. Each floor has a shared terrace.

Weekly and monthly discounts are available for long stays.

Guest access
Makers Siem Reap has a laboratory space for makers on the ground floor. The space is limited to the registered members only. Other spaces are open to everyone.

The front-door is locked during the night, but the door at the back-garden is open for guests.

Other things to note
The COVID-19 situation here is getting better than previous two years, however, Siem Reap, which heavily relies on tourism, needs your help. Vast majority of local residents and expats had been suffering total lock-downs. Many business could not survive. Angkor Wat, once packed with tourists, is now very quiet.

The economic downturn have been affecting everyone, especially the young generation by degraded education opportunity, and weak job market. Many realized that it is a risk to rely on tourism only. We are helping the young generation by teaching modern technologies and transferring knowledge to them.
