great place, surprise fees.

Very basic accommodations, but totally comfortable. It was cool to be in such an old building with paintings etc in the ceiling. In a fantastically central area. I would've loved to have stayed longer. The only negative is that the host charged a 70 euro cleaning fee instead of a 40 euro cleaning fee (as is stated on the hotels.com site). And we HAD to pay this fee in order to get the code to open the door at check-in. I tried to contact the host about this and received no response.

Neglect and inaccuracy

I made a reservation in an appartment for 5 person (2 adults and 3 children) with 5 beds, kitchen and living room. In the check-in day I received and email saying that we had to go to other appartment. When we arrived in the new appartment it was a two room appartment with no living room, only for beds and the kitchen didn't even had enough tableware for 5 person. i sent an email to the company and they said that they woud come to put another bed and tableware. We stayed for two days and no one contacted us again.

Abbiamo prenotato l'appartamento per un fine settimana, eravamo 4 adulti con 2 bambini di meno di un anno. L'appartamento è grande ed è in centro a Siena però queste sono le uniche due note positive. Note negative: 1. si trova al 4 piano, il palazzo ha un montacarichi che non è utilizzabile, e il tutto non è menzionato nella descrizione dell'appartamento. 2. Il codice di accesso al portone di ingresso del palazzo non funziona e siamo rimasti chiusi fuori di notte, fortunatamente siamo riusciti ad entrare perchè persone che vivono nel palazzo ci hanno aperto. Il problema maggiore è stata l'impossibilità di contattare la proprietaria dell'appartamento che non ha mai risposto alle nostre chiamate. Il sabato sera, dopo svariati tentativi siamo riusciti a contattarla, solo allora, è venuta all'appartamento a darci la chiave del portone. 3. il parcheggio più vicino dista circa 10-15 min a piedi 4. Il sistema di check-in, che fornisce il codice di accesso alla casa, ci chiedeva il pagamento dell'intero importo già pagato a hotels.com; la proprietaria non ha mai risposto alle nostre chiamate in merito a questo problema. Solo il giorno dell'arrivo ci hanno contattati per fornirci il codice di accesso. 5. Il pavimento dell'appartamento era sporco, lo abbiamo pulito noi, nonostante avessimo pagato 70 euro per le pulizie. 6. il divano dovrebbero cambiarlo, è un pò sporco.
