House in Siena in poor condition

The pictures on hotels.com did not match the reality, for example the inground pool was replaced with a pool that looked like a huge bathtop, blocking the beautiful view from the terrace. The house was poorly maintained and cleaned. There were spiderswebs in the corners, the joints in the shower were moldy and many of the lamps were missing a lamp shade. The towels and beddings were old and worn out. Also Christmas decoration was left behind. There were some severe safety issues with the house: The ladder used to entering the pool was unstable and it's construction reinforced with zip ties, though it looked new. The gas supply for the stove seemed hazardous to use. Both issues that could cause serious accidents. All in all, our impression of the house was poor and the pictures, description and price from hotels.com did not fulfil our expectations of a nice, charming house in Siena.
