We arrived very late from the Airport and were suppose to check in ourselves. After a 55 hour trip, we asked for assistance and she gave us a room from a totally different category. We went back - new room. Still wrong category, but at least two beds. We were too tired to complain. The room was in the tropical wing - it was horrific. I have never seen a room so worn down. The door frames in the bathroom were rotten - just an example. We complained and got a better room in the other wing - with a king bed, but at least the bed was comfy. But the elevator noise was very present the whole time. After two sleepless nights we ask for a different room away from the elevator, but that is difficult to find. The hotel was full (bus tours from India) and at least we got a room which was quiet, but the mattress was from the last century and you could feel every coil. Housekeeping was trying to give us a topper, but they don't really have such things. We got something to lay on, but it was not really comfortable.
We would not recommend the hotel when you like to stay a few days longer.
Especially, the breakfast was very boring. Every day the same (we stayed 2 weeks in total). After the bus tours left, they didn't set the tables (you had to look for cutlery and napkins) and they didn't clean the tables anymore. Not a great service. Eggs very always cold. We were glad when we turned our backs and left for our cruise.
