The hotel made a striking first impression upon our arrival, with a vibrant lobby suggesting its popularity.
The check-in, however, presented a slight challenge. When I presented my passport, I was asked for all passports. As I handed over the second, I began to explain, "This is for the twin room with me, and this..." but was interrupted and asked to be more specific for the system. While I understand the need for clarity, the interaction felt a little less smooth than anticipated.
Our room was pleasantly cozy, and the comfortable, firm beds were a definite highlight.
We did notice a faint musty scent upon entering, but housekeeping responded promptly and resolved the matter efficiently.
Breakfast offered a choice of two restaurants, which was a nice feature. We initially went to the 4th-floor location, but were redirected to the ground floor. The ground-floor restaurant was bustling, and after securing a table, I placed my flask as a marker and went to get my breakfast. Upon my return, I was surprised to find someone else seated at my table, and a half-eaten piece of honeydew was left on my napkin, next to my coffee. It was certainly an unexpected and rather unpleasant discovery.
