Book Skwentna hotels

The location was well away from the main road. The beds were really comfortable. Could not speak more highly of the accommodation. My wife and I would definitely stay again.

Awesome room and view!

We absolutely loved our stay in this charming cabin near Talkeetna. The interior is surprisingly spacious, making it perfect for gathering with a large group, whether you’re playing the fun games that come with it or relaxing with a movie. We had a great time with the kids around the fire pit, making s’mores and enjoying the outdoors. The hosts thoughtfully provide firewood and an axe, which made it easy to get a fire going. The bunkhouse is especially cozy, with a rustic design that feels like stepping into a classic lumberjack cabin. Worried about the bears? There’s plenty of bear spray for your protection in both the main house and the bunkhouse. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Pros: pet friendly. However, after a long day of driving I REALLY wanted a hot shower but this is a completely dry cabin which is fine, but it doesn’t say in the listing whether or not there is a shower so I guess I should have assumed not. Couldn’t figure out how to bring the ladder down to sleep upstairs (was fastened with a chain that could not be undone) and went to message the owner but the WiFi from the hosts cabin (right across from the rental) did not reach my cabin. Ended up sleeping on the couch which wasn’t very comfortable. The blanket and pillow provided downstairs were dirty and had hair on them. They also didn’t smell clean like detergent, etc. Walked my dog on the main road and stepped in dog poop within the first 5 min of the walk. Multiple melting rainy/snow piles of mushy poop everywhere that’s been left behind from the neighborhood I’m guessing. Thankfully its breakup so I found a melted puddle to clean off my boot. Area was quiet but not much privacy from the location/view of the cabin. Ended up leaving at 3am to continue my trip because I couldn’t sleep. Stay itself was just “okay” but for the reasons listed above would not stay here again.

Everything was perfect!

Our stay was great! The home was in a convenient location and had plenty of room for multiple families staying together. The kitchen was well stocked and woodstove very warm and cozy.
