The room was nice. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. I had to turn the heat up to 80 to get the room warm enough but it was comfortable. I only took one shower and the water was cold. That was a little unpleasant and my only gripe.

I had a difficult day of driving with many accidents, ambulances, police and fire trucks along the way. We arrived at the Holiday Inn Woodbridge just before 12:15am. Unfortunately, they had cancelled our reservation because we didn’t arrive before midnight. I asked the staff member if there was anything he could do for us and he said "No, unless you want to pay for another room". I explained our situation and he said to take it up with Expedia. I called Expedia and talked to an agent who offered to call the hotel. The hotel worker also told the Expedia agent that the only way to get a room would be to pay again. The Expedia agent said I would need to figure it out with the hotel and ended our call while i was attempting to ask him a question. I then called the Holiday Inn Customer service line. They told me that i would need to work it out with Expedia since that is where I booked. Interestingly, they called the hortel as well. He told them he tried calling us multiple times before cancelling the booking but we didn't answer. This was entirely dishonest. I had no missed calls. By this time it was past 1am and my daughter wasn't feeling well. I was so upset but I couldn't justify spending more of my money at this hotel so we drove down the road and checked in elsewhere. I registered a complaint with IHG customer service and they did respond with an apology and a refund a few days later.
