What's better than beachfront? Our place! We are directly across the street from the beach, so you get the convenience of beachfront without the beachfront prices. You are a shorter walk to the beach from our condo than you would be in the big resorts with 'beachfront' prices.

Come relax and feel the sand between your toes in beautiful South Padre Island. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Even better, is our location. We are directly across the street from the beach, and there is a beach access just steps from the condo. It's like being beachfront without the prices! There are no hotels around us, so the beach is not as crowded and the neighborhood is quiet.

Stream your favorite apps, ZOOM, eLearn, etc. with high-speed WIFI internet. Our condos are pet friendly and kid friendly. They are also great for a romantic getaway. Are you setting up a girls' weekend or reunion? You can rent out an entire floor or the whole building and have a private vacation!

New upgrades: Keurig coffee maker, Berlin Gardens outdoor pool furniture, 6 beach chairs, 1 Tommy Bahama beach umbrella, 6 beach towels and a beach wagon. Custom outdoor pool table and outdoor TV in the pool area.

Condo was as expected and clean. Plenty beach towels, bath towels, beach equipment available(wagon, umbrella, 6 chairs!) Beds were comfy, kitchen had dishes/pans that were needed for meals. Contacting the management was easy and quick. Issues were resolved quick. Just routine maintenance things they wouldn't otherwise know unless they lived there consistently. Did not impact our trip one bit! The pool is heated! We spent lots of time there! Deepest pool depth was 4ft 6in so my kids (9,11 and 13) loved it. Less than 5 min walk to the beach, access is less than 1/4 block away. Parking right in front of condo building. There is an outdoor shower through the breezeway for rinsing post beach adventure and another outdoor shower in the pool area for rinsing after enjoying the pool. Lovely place. We saved the location for future trips.

Always a pleasure

Perfect place to stay for our family vacation. Best part is it is located across the street from beach access and the beach is one of the quieter areas along S Padre. Also, my teens loved having a pool onsite. We had a minor snafu with the key at check-in but the management team quickly helped us out. Overall, very clean accommodations, nicely furnished, well run and maintained, and great location. Also, very dog friendly.

The area was perfect. Public beach access was so close and convenient. Many restaurants and stores within walking distance. Pool at complex was perfect and an awesome option on windy days. Loved our stay here, beds comfortable and pull out sleeper couch great addition .

Nice rooms and furniture. Minimal cooking utensils in kitchen. Very nice pool, spa and outdoor kitchen. We were able to get 15 family members together for meals and game night fun.. close to the beach

This was our 3rd time staying at Athena Ares and it’s the ONLY place we stay in South Padre. We love the proximity to the beach-maybe a 2 minute walk, the pool area, the furnishings in the condo, the balconies, etc. we never have one single complaint. We brought friends along this time and they loved it as well!

Perfect location and property for adults

This is a beautiful property and a wonderful place to book several rooms for a larger group stay. It was clean, quiet and well-maintained. The AC worked well! The pool and outdoor area was one of our favorite parts! And you are very close to beach access. We met the owner who was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely book this place again!

Great Condo

Excellent location, well equipped property, great communication from hosts.

We visited for a family gathering for Thanksgiving and found the apartments very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. It was a shame the weather did not allow us to fully enjoy the out door space and pool, but it looked like a great place to spend time outside.

Great Condo & Great Location

We've become regulars at this property. It's part of our annual summer trip. You just can't beat the location to the beach. You just walk across the street to the public beach access and boom there's the ocean. Also, it's far enough away from the large condos and hotels that the beach is not crowded. We really enjoy the pool and overall aesthetics of this unit. It's also good to see the owners are making updates when needed such as replacing furniture and fixtures. Check-in and, especially, check-out process is so easy. In summary, as always, we were very happy with our stay and plan on coming back next year. Thank you!

Family holiday

We rented 4 units for ourselves and the families of our three daughters. The condos were well equipped and very convenient to the beach. The pool and patio area were great for getting everyone together for dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Getaway!

Martin and Diane are wonderful hosts. They were quick to respond, accommodating, and really care about their condos. It truly felt like home away from home. Our 7 year old even called it our “borrowed house.” There’s no better place for the price right on the beach. We sat outside every morning sipping coffee on the balcony watching and listening to the waves crash. Many restaurants are within walking distance as well. We’re already planning our summer vacation for next year. This is definitely going to be a regular stay for us.

Everything was great execpt for the smell of mildew in our condo especially my bedroom, it was overwhelming to the point of giving me a headache and barely able to sleep. I loved the property but would probably not stay there again due to the smell. We picked this property for how beautiful it is and the experience was ruined by the smell. Hopefully you can figure it out, we would love to stay there again if you can. Our group rented 4 condos for the week. Everything else was amazing.
