Great car park for an overnight stay with a trailer. Restaurant was very good but a little limited for choice

All employees are very welcoming and willing to help and the hotel was beautifully clean. Such a shame our stay was not so good , the sprung bed was extremely uncomfortable to a point of painful in areas . The emergency exit lights from the corridor shone through the curtains all night only needs a black out blind to fix the problem . Had a lovely swim but it was a shame that half the spa facilties are out of use. The spa was one of the reasons i booked this hotel in particular . Will not be returning.
Evening Menu choice was very limited. Breakfast staff turned up late so no plates put out toaster wasn’t on etc. also the patio doors left wide open so the eating in the cold.
Sauna, steam room and hot tub all out of order.
Lifts were also out of order but could request a ground floor room if required.
Also the carpets have a shocking pattern that hurt my eyes.
My daughter (8) & i often go book a hotel stay to escape, and this is by far the top of our list now. Ive dropped a star for comfort only because the twin beds are too hard for me. Many prefer a hard bed so thats personal preferences really. The pool is beautiful and very clean along with the hottub the views of the garen are stunning. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. Having a little chat with my daughter when ever she wanted to chat. They seemed to have time for us.

Good base, lovely staff but management missing
The hotel was ok. The staff we came across were very friendly. It was comfortable but I wouldn’t say it was clean. The pool needed someone in attendance. It was a good base for us with children and it was fairly quiet. We felt there was a lack of support and management for the staff there who were helpful but who may have needed a more supportive presence of management.
Good stay , some staff are a bit rude on reception but other then that enjoyed it

I found that the room was too light during the night. Light from the corridor and from outside

It was a nice stay but not what I’d call a proper spa hotel. The pool was nice. Steam and sauna rooms were tiny and steam room was out of order the following morning. The jacuzzi had young kids in with no staff seen at all.
The hotel is a bit dated in style. Ugly carpets, boring old fashioned paintings on the wall. The room was average but lacked in some facilities (no iron, bottled water, shower was hard to get good temp) but the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was spotless. The pillows was so good! It was clean and comfortable.
The staff were really lovely. The bar was nice for a drink. Breakfast was good. Lots of options.
Location is good. Parking on site for free. Good value for money.
Lovely spa and amenities in general.
Room was spacious and quiet with blackout curtains. I'd definitely recommend it.
That said, there were some issues with cleanliness in the bathroom. I raised it with the staff on reception which was really positive and they helped. Key issue was a very dirty and old showerhead - a quick fix from maintenance.
I stay here for business purposes and it's one of my favourites. It's got character, the staff are wonderful, food is delicious and the bed is divine. Will always choose here when I'm in the area. Well done everyone!
Lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was larger than expected and the bed so very comfortable. There was a wide selection of foods available at Breakfast for even fussiest of eaters. Did not use Spa/pool etc but have decided will go back later in the year and enjoy it all !!
