This lovely cottage is beautifully restored and offers a pleasant and spacious environment for your vacation. The fenced pool has a hot and cold shower. The garden is ideal for children. The house really has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. In the countryside of Deux-Sèvres there are several small villages and weekly markets. The area has many castles, Renaissance churches and monasteries, the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean are within easy reach. Locally you can play golf and go horseback riding. The nearest airports are Poitiers and La Rochelle. The house has central heating, a fireplace and (partial) floor heating, they make the house thus also optimal for the colder season.

Family holiday

This house was superb as a base for a large family holiday (grandparents, their children and partners, and three grandchildren). It's spacious and beautifully furnished, with almost everything such a group could need. The pool and garden are excellent, and the house includes spaces for all-togetherness, but areas for privacy too as needed. Really the only thing we might have wished is that Souvigne had a boulangerie, a cafe-bar and a general food shop. But their absence is a symptom of France today, and beyond the control of the proprietors!
