The house was super easy to find, recently renovated, and clean with well kept linens and charming decor. The neighbor, Holt, is precious and welcoming, as was the neighborhood cat, Thor (likes to talk, do not pet, Thor has seen things in his life ;-) ) The garden is lovely and location is convenient if you’re in town to go mining. It’s a VERY small town with a lot of commercial/welding/machine shops etc but this street is residential and street lights and surrounding neighbors make it feel safe. We arrived on Sunday and FYI many restaurants were closed ( some through Tuesday or Wednesday) so plan ahead. We ate at the Chalet in little switzerland and breakfast at the 50’s diner a few blocks down. Both were lovely- Diner was what waffle house would be if your Rotary was running it, Chalet was delicious and views were amazing, meals 27-45$ and priced appropriately to the quality.
We were asked to strip our beds to the laundry room (and kitchen cleaning requests that weren’t relevant for us) and take our trash out, but there were no trash bags and the can lid was covered in chiggers… so I scrounged together a Walmart bag and took my trash with me. That was a little bit irritating, because a cleaning fee is included… But it didn’t ruin the stay and I would absolutely rent this house again. We didn’t use the kitchen, so can’t comment on appointments but the laundry room seemed nice. Bathroom was clean and bright with good towels, shampoo and soap provided.
