Lots of character and a friendly staff at this quintessential boutique hotel in St Andrews. I’d definitely stay here again.

It’s like a dorm room campus that we had two rooms that open up to a living room that then opens up to courtyards which was pretty neat

Stravithie castle is an opportunity to experience something quite unique and special. The welcome included a brief tour of David’s home and interesting information about the previous owners. This was in addition to being shown our own accommodation which was spacious and comfortable. David’s dog was a most welcoming host too! I was most appreciative of the effort that David had gone to in catering for my gluten intolerance. A place that we would certainly love to return to if we are visiting the area in the future.

The room was nice other than being on the 3rd floor with no elevator and two twin beds instead of a king. The check in is different, you go to the pub next door and they check you in and the young man carried our bags up and down the stairs. The area is perfect and the pub is a great place to hangout after a round.

Great place to spend a golfing week in St Andrews. Food was terrific, staff was terrific, and the location simply can not be beaten.

From the welcoming and helpful staff to the incredible bedding to the delicious breakfast with a view, everything about the Rusacks is exceptional. I will hopefully be back soon.
