What a great place to stay. Room was very large. Their restaurant has amazing food and prices below other nearby restaurants. Staff is great and there is even some slot machines in the back area. Parking in the back beside building. Everything is walkable. We went whale watching on a boat tour.

Even though this property knew more than a 10 days ahead that they would experience a total power outage in the town, for the night of our arrival, they informed no one. They left a slip of paper in the rooms saying this information which we read by flashlight once we arrived. The AC and other amenities we paid for were a moot point because of this. They refused to compensate us in any way ,after taking away our choice by not alerting us or anyone ahead of time. The beds were God Awful, we had prepaid for 2 separate nights with no refund, even switching rooms did not help. The beds are hard as rocks and lumpy to boot! Pillows were all overstuffed so you couldn't get comfortable. One of our rooms had no sink in the bathroom, instead it was near the front door of the room. This is a very old property, so some things are expected, like weird room configurations or baseboard placements, but there were holes in the baseboards/floor trims in our room. With a restaurant downstairs, this is the perfect place for mice to be running in and out of. They conveniently have no one at the check in desk until later afternoon, so if you want to complain or talk to someone, don't hold your breath. We had the stay from HELL.

This is our second time staying at this property and we absolutely love everything about it! Conveniently located on main drag, lots of dining options close by! Literally close to everything! Lots of little shops, walking trails close by, you don’t need your vehicle! This is property is family owned and owner Dominic is a gem! Love meeting their children Fred and Margot. Margot also owns a most amazing little shop next door, Là Marée! Love that there’s a restaurant/bar on site for lunch and dinner! They often have live entertainment as well! We LOVE Julie at the bar area, goes above and beyond! Moe is awesome as is Dave! Nice to meet Clorice and Tara! Honestly the whole staff is awesome! What a perfect stay! Thank you to all!

We stayed at the property for 5 days in July. The staff were friendly and polite, the room was wonderful. We actually received an upgraded room at no cost. The only issue we had was that we found the food to be slightly overcooked at the hotel restaurant. Aside from that the grandure of days gone by can still be seen at this hotel. Character and charm and we loved it!!!

Very nice check in, nice main level when you are in the restaurant. Now for our room we booked a while back, thinking we’d get a nice room. We got a room all the way in the back. I assume a room that has not been updated. The headboard had scratch marks all down the head board I found cluster eye lashes in the bed. Very disturbing, can imagine it wasn’t clean. Then after wiping my face with one of the hand towels I discovered there had been looked like someone had wiped their dirty hands on it. Then we couldn’t get the shower to do warm water we did everything and it was either extremely hot or freezing cold. The staff were very kind but didn’t find this room acceptable to sell to anyone. Definitely not what was advertised.

Easy check in, check out. Nice amenities, accommodation. Dinner was a little bland in flavour, and frozen vegetables - not fresh. Draft beer seemed watered down.Waited over half hour to have dinner plates removed, so left table and informed staff we would be in the lounge for the bill.

A seaside gem

If you want to be close to the ‘action’ in a small seaside town you couldn’t choose a better spot. The view from the front rooms is stunning, the beds are too comfortable to make early rising easy and the staff is Maritime-friendly- just the best
