The overall set up of the room was perfect. I loved everything; from the bed sheets, robes, huge bathtub and separate walk in shower. It felt cozy yet luxurious. The staff on the other hand were very pretentious. The lobby area is extremely loud and while checking in the staff spoke in a low tone so it was very difficult to hear the information being said. When I asked for clarification on things I didn’t hear or was curious about, I got very short answers or little guidance, like I was unconvincing them. This didn’t happen with just one staff member, it was every person I encountered: vallet, checking in and at the spa. I know the hotel is supposed to be elevated, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be hospitable.

I have been to my fair share of hotels. Mostly higher end properties and this is now one of my favorite hotels of all time. The beauty, the art, the service, the intentionality...this place was absolutely incredible. 10/10.

The staff was very kind and eager to help. Valet were quick, friendly, but very expensive considering it is not covered parking where they park the cars. The breakfast place was a joke on service, took an hour for an order and blamed a single cook in the back but thats poor management and should keep to yourself. The hotel itself was clean and had a great atmosphere. The art was great. Room AC worked well and the cleaning crew were efficient and tidy. Good distance from some major attractions although the time for walking distance to some are greatly underestimated, unless you are running to the Arch or Union Station.

Hotel could be deserving 4 star iF.. entry was vacuumed during our multiple day stay more than 1 coffee cup and only2 towels in bathroom , replaced burnt out lightbulbs in room, fresh pastries ( they were a day old according to staff) , etc. Just not managed well.

We had doubts our room had been cleaned. The shower had large globs of hair on the walls. The rest of the bathroom also left question marks, I flushed toilet, hair on counter and in sink. We were in a rush and didn’t have time to address concerns with staff before our event. We just avoided the bathroom when we returned.
