I spent the first night in a room without air conditioning. Reported the issue, was told it was fixed. It wasn't. Had to get a 2nd room for my 2nd night. Was not offered any credit or discount due to having to sleep in a room over 80 degrees.

Horrible smell in room

Room 304 smelled like a combination of urine and cigarettes, it was so strong that we were unable to stay there and they didn’t have another 1 bedroom room left in the hotel. The staff was friendly but the room itself was horrible.

My stay at TownPlace Hotel was very comfortable. If you are in the area for awhile this hotel is better than an Airbnb. My family and I stayed for an entire week and it was a perfect fit for us. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen had all the essentials that you need, just purchase food to prepare (Walmart is walking distance). When you bring any matter to their attention, they do their best to make you comfortable. They went out of their way to add new options for breakfast. If you do not have transportation, the Metro line is in walking distance. We used the metro line into downtown St. Louis many times. Something to consider is that parking is not free in the city, so using the train or bus would be convenient. I will be looking out for TownePlace Hotels wherever I travel. I highly recommend.
