When we arrived the stench of the seaweed was nauseating. They had no tv throughout the hotel. Neither of these were listed on their website. If we would have known we would never have stayed there. The restaurant staff was very slow and rude! It was hard to even eat with the seaweed smell. They add 18% gratuities on everything from restaurant to pool bar. Taxis are expensive but you have no choice because this hotel is 15 minutes away from everything. We will never stay here again!!!!

We found bugs in our room that infested one of our suitcases. This response was very slow. We were eventually changed the new rooms, but it took over three hours and housekeeping who is supposed to come to help us out. Never showed.

The rooms were excellent! Loved the swim up bar! The staff could be more friendly. Say good morning/afternoon in the passing or even just say hi when standing in the lobby. My family experienced where we had to walk up to someone to get acknowledgment. I would recommend having more golf carts and drivers to take guests back to the rooms. The wait times were long. Saw more utility carts than ride on carts. I wish we were warned about the smell of the sargassum. We were warned about it but no indication of the smell. It definitely took some what time of getting use to it. I know that it’s part of nature but definitely would’ve liked a warning. There were 3 employees that were truly amazing with customer service. The only name I caught of the 3 was JB

The resort was large and clean! The bartenders catered to certain races and will see you sit and ignore you! The internet was down our stay! No tv during the stay! We were locked out of our room due to the battery in the door and had to wait about 30+ min for someone to show up and let us in from the heat! Due to that we ended up missing the shuttle so we had to pay to get somewhere that would have been free and the hotel didn’t care! Additionally, we’ were not compensated for the inconvenience even though others were! The restaurant was absolutely horrible and the prices were expensive for poor quality! The mixed drinks were weak! There were kids in the “adult” pool 👀! They were also very strict about their towels threatening to charge you if they weren’t all accounted for! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean! Be careful of the taxis because they are supposed to charge the same rate but they all don’t! Use the bus it’s way cheaper! And don’t use the liquor store right outside the hotel….way overpriced

We were so disappointed in this place. We were told 1 week before they had a seaweed issue that closed the beach. What they didn’t say was the entire property smelled of rotting fish, especially the only restaurant. We lost power 5 times. No TV all week. Only restaurant “wasn’t serving food” one day and closed early another. Toilet made an awful noise. Staff was rude. Food took 45 minutes to an hour regardless of when you went to eat. 135 stairs to our room and another 185 to the infinity pool, or risk your life in a golf cart you had to wait 20 minutes for. It was awful and a complete waste of money. I’ve never smelled anything so nasty in my life and the entire place reeked of it. I found out it was ALREADY an issue 2 months before we got there, when we booked, and we absolutely should’ve been told that then!

The rooms and staff were great but the beach front was unusable due to seaweed that stunk horribly. The grounds are beautiful but to be out is to have this awful smell of seaweed dying in the bay. Some rooms also smell inside, thankfully we didn’t have that impact. Additionally the entire stay which was over a week with two separate rooms had no tv service at all with kids. Not credit or offset at all for either shameful

We had a wonderful time at this resort. Some complained about the seagrass this time of year but the staff were incredible and really made sure we had a great time! The resort activities were alot of fun and the resort was spotless! We ate at Landshark restaurant twice and once at the breakfast cafe all were huge portions and friendly service. The bed was comfortable and the hot water unending in our bathroom! Would def come back!

This was one of the worst vacations I’ve ever been on. We were not greeted at the door with margaritas which is supposed to be one of the perks of this place. When we asked about them the woman at the front desk acted annoyed & said they were all busy right now & they’d “Get to it when they get to it.” I can’t remember her name otherwise I would right it down. Couldn’t go to one of the beaches due to too much seaweed (not their fault) was told we were able to get discounts on excursions like $100 off each excursion we wanted then we were told nevermind? You can’t anymore without signing up for a credit card but wasn’t told this to begin with? There’s no housekeeping😂 or room service😭. When we called for shuttles to come get us from our rooms it would take a minimum of 20 minutes for anyone to show up. Almost every single time I had to call again & ask a second time for a shuttle to come pick us up. There was one woman driving the shuttles a fat black woman with damn near no hair who had the worst attitude I’ve come across on a vacation in a while. She reversed in the shuttle on purpose before we were situated causing us to fall forward & said nothing. She showed I swear her phone was when we couldn’t get into our room because our wristbands weren’t working. We called the number that she sent to and they said they would send somebody up to let us in. Two minutes later that same woman came back and open the door. Very nicely built and great size rooms with a nice balcony. However the TVs do not work. It is a far walk to get to your car; they do offer golf cart pick up service but it takes a long time to get picked up. And the smell of the fish is extremely strong and there is no private beach that you can go swimming in due to the Seabass. There’s no in room service provided for food. Food options are extremely limited in the area.

They had a seaweed problem, they notified us e few days before departure but didn't say anything about the horrific smell , we couldn't enjoy the resort at all , even smelled like sewage in our room. Wonderful stay. The seasonal seaweed flock smell was awful, preventing dining by the water, but out of your control. Appreciated the no extra fee for use of the washing machine and dryer. Loved seeing the stray chickens, cats, and dogs, that visited daily. Please get the cats and dogs vaccinated for their well being and client safety.

The island is absolutely beautiful! This hotel is a JOKE! I wouldn’t recommend staying there. TVs didn’t work our entire stay. Couldn’t get bags from room after waiting 45 minutes just carried down flights of stairs ourselves. Lots of amenities were not working. Ice machines, golf carts, tvs ( was told has b en out for awhile and just not fixed) The smell is absolutely horrible by the lobby and lower pool. I would try finding else where to stay. Even one of the employees told us the property has gone to crap and nothing gets fixed. Also complaining to the staff doesn’t help. Called several times about things not working and still nothing!
