Our experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing and far from what was advertised. The room did not meet expectations based on the photos and descriptions online, but what truly ruined the stay was the unbearable noise on Saturday night.
After returning from a long day of hiking, we hoped to get some much-needed rest. Instead, we found ourselves essentially trying to sleep in what felt like a nightclub. A party or wedding was taking place, and the music and shouting were so loud that sleep was impossible.
We called reception multiple times. While the staff were polite and apologetic, they repeatedly assured us the event would end by midnight. Midnight came and went — the noise continued. We called again and were told “just ten more minutes,” but the loud music and yelling persisted well beyond that.
It’s unacceptable that guests are placed directly next to such events without any warning or alternative arrangements. At the very least, rooms should be allocated in a way that allows guests to rest undisturbed.
Unfortunately, this hotel stay was the lowlight of our time in Stavanger. We cannot recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
