Steamboat Weekend Getaway
The property is very cute, and the location was great. The downstairs area was nice. Once we were about to check in we learned the dryer was not working, and the owners planned to have it serviced. This was inconvenient for a family going to the hot springs. The master bedroom was very nice, as well as the bathroom, but the towel racks were falling off the wall, so we didn't use them. The other bedroom had a rickety bunk bed that moved both the top bunk and bottom bunk when someone moved in their bed. Also, the ladder to get up to the bunk bed was very loose. My nine-year-old daughter fell off it trying to go to the bathroom in the night and hit her back on the bookshelf right next to it due to how wobbly the ladder was. The trundle bed was actually just a heavy mattress shoved under the bunk bed which once pulled out was still comfortable enough. The closet in the bedroom had multiple cans of used paint, so if you have younger children, I would not let them sleep in the room without an adult present. Outside of the concerns, we had a quiet stay, and parking was easy. The owners provided us with all the information we needed ahead of time, and it was very smooth. We did not need any additional help during our stay.
