The place is beautiful with a personal touch everywhere. Breakfast was delicious with 4 different homemade breads, fresh fruit, homemade jams and so many other options. Coffre near fireplace and relaxing music in the morning set the mood for the day. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable and room was big and clean. The only downside was that the hot tub was occupied by large company of people drinking beer there for hours so other skiers were not able to enjoy it even for 20 minutes. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Awol, thanks to everyone who helped, we'd like to be back.

Cozy, relaxing getaway!

Loved our stay. Everything about the property was so thought out and well done. Genuinely wanted to hang out in the lobby area cause it was so nicely decorated and cozy. Spent our days out on the mountain, would get dinner out and then got excited to come back and get a drink at the bar in the lobby and sit by the fire place. 10/10 stay.

Newly updated, upscale and trendy motel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, small food menu with delicious options and included breakfast of fresh breads, yogurt, and quiche were perfect to start the day fresh.

This is a beautiful, stylish hotel. Rooms are gorgeous as is the lobby. We loved everything about our experience other than that there was absolutely no snow removal or plowing whatsoever. This is a location in Vermont that caters to skiers. We had to carry our bags from the parking lot to our room on the 2nd floor on unshoveled paths. It was slippery and dangerous.

We loved our weekend at AWOL. The property is stunning and looks exactly like the pictures. It’s breathtaking. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Sarah, made us feel so welcomed and guided us in the right direction for activities and dinning options. Very convenient, walking distance to town and 15 min ride to the ski site. Can’t wait to come back.

From the friendly staff to the clean and comfortable rooms, the property met and often exceeded our expectations as a base for some x-country skiing in Stowe. Would definitely return and will recommend.

We stayed in room 160 which I think was an accessible room, ground floor (as were most), with easy access to the hot tub (which was super lovely - get there right on turning dusk and watch the sky turn blue to midnight to black). The room was great, super comfy king size bed. Breakfast was a buffet laid out that served fruit, granola, yoghurt, lots of breads (not GF), and avocado/tomatoes/cucumbers/fetta/gherkin that you build for yourself. There was a communal chill out area which looked great although we didn't use it. You could walk to some places, although you'd mostly drive in the winter as it's a bit awkward to get around with the snow.
