The location of Hotel Gutenberg is so convenient for getting around Strasbourg. A short walk, and even shorter Tram ride, from Gare Centrale train station. It was so close to the cathedral that I, more often than not, walked by the hotel when returning to it because it seemed that it should be further away. A lot of dining options, sites and shopping within a couple of minutes walk. And La Petite France is only a 15 minute walk. The hotel staff was always so friendly and welcoming each time they saw me leave, and return to, the hotel. And if I can call out Emma specifically for being extra nice when I checked in, and for explaining all of the hotel options and features. I arrived before my room was ready, so they stored my bags so I could explore Strasbourg. When I returned my room was ready with my bags waiting for me. Emma even called my room after I had a few minutes in the room just to make sure everything was acceptable.

It's a lovely hotel. The staff was so welcoming and kind. Our room was lovely - very clean and well appointed, and it had everything we needed. We didn't have the breakfast that was available but it looked wonderful.

I was offered an "UPGRADE" which I was happy to accept, but the upgrade was to a room where a 6.5 or taller person can hardly fit. Basically it looked more like someone built a room on an attic. I must have hitted my head at least twice a day, and I am a small person. Please inquire when someone offers you an "UPGRADE"

Hotel was really good and late night staff was excellent. My only complaint was the air conditioning. Even though is winter in Europe I am used to sleep with ac on. When I am booking a hotel I look specifically for hotels with ac. We arrived to our room and ac was off. When I inquired about it I was told the whole building ac was off due to winter and to open the window on my room. Room became too hot in the middle of the night and we had to go to the reception. We had to swap rooms at midnight. This one had to windows that we open and the temperature got better but still not enough for us. Next day I complained again and I was offered another room which I declined having already swapped rooms the night prior. In the end, hotel got us a fan.

I loved the location. So close to the Christmas markets. Only thing, it’s so close that when I arrived, my taxi couldn’t drop me off in front. I had to walk with my luggage about 2-3 blocks. I was exhausted from travel so that was an unpleasant surprise. The room has the toilet separated from the shower and sink which is unusual to me. But comfortable room with great location.

Brilliant hotel and I would highly recommend this for staying and viewing the area. Everything is walkable, the staff are professional, helpful and friendly, the amenities in the room were good, the beds comfortable and basically everything was just right.

Great location

Only 5 mins from the cathedral and all the restaurants and museums in the area. Also convenient for the tram although there are currently major works going on following a crash. Nice room, good size, good size bathroom with a lot of shelf space to put all your things on which is unusual. Limited toiletries - no moisturiser. Very good buffet breakfast as long as you don't want a cooked breakfast. Good selection of cold meats and cheese, lots of good breads and pastries.Coffee and tea from a machine so not great. Very quiet room but not very dark at night and temperature control a bit tricky. It was very cold and we had to climb on a chair to turn the radiator up. Staff very pleasant. Overall a nice stay.

This was a lovely, boutique Hotel right in the center of the city. The room was well appointed, and the hotel offered a very nice array of breakfast options. I highly recommend this hotel for those who consider themselves travelers rather than tourists.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel right in the heart of Strasbourg. The staff made dinner reservations for us two nights of our stay, which was very helpful. Also, there were quite a few amenities. We received a bottle of sparkling wine in our rooms on the first night and chocolates every evening at turn down. Also, the breakfast was delicious.
